It's been one whole day since terry and Jo went missing. Darlene is on the run after assaulting an officer. The police have been alerted of the missing officer and is now on the look out.
Darlene:*crouching behind dumpster thinking to herself* *this is bad now I'm a criminal, but I was attacked first so I should be ok right? No, I moved the body, but wait I could just say it happened on the roof, but I ran away, and Ieft blood in the living room...*
She gets up and begins to move to the outskirts of the colony where not many dare to go..
?: FREEZE!!
Darlene: *looks back* damn they already found me! *runs*
Officer: you can't hide! We have this entire colony rigged with cameras! Your every move is being watched!!
The officer didn't bother to give Chase because the station could see her from the cameras anyway.
Darlene: *hiding behind corner looking out and around* lucky I got away..
?:hey you!
Darlene: *turns around quickly* damn it police again!?
?: *whispering*no no I'm not an officer, I can help you, Darlene...is it?
Darlene: how do you know my name?
?: doesn't matter right now what matters is I get you to safety now follow me*gestures her hand in a waving motion, and runs off*
Darlene: *shrugs, runs after her*
Setting change:
A short time later they arrive at a shack, a dimly lit, damp, and humid shack.
Darlene: what is this place?
?: its my house, the only place not visible to the colony cameras.
Darlene: *raises one eyebrow in confusion*
?: ok so you're trying to take down the colonial government right?!
Darlene: *gains confused look* what?! No I'm...don't worry about what I'm doing.. what's more important is who are you?!
?: oh you're not trying to? Well then I gotta kill you you've seen too much *pulls out pistol and takes aim*
Darlene: what?! Wait! No no no! *waves her hands in front of her side to side* stop! I won't tell on you! I promise!
?: *calmly raises one eyebrow with a stone look*
Darlene: yeah I'm not trying to harm you or anything ill keep quiet I swear!
?: *pulls trigger*
*POP*
Darlene: *screams violently and falls to the floor*
?: get up already..enough of the dramatics..
Darlene: *looks up at the wall she was standing in front of*whispering to her self* a bullet hole? You missed?!
?: on purpose now get up!
Darlene: *slowly stands up*
?: ill let you live, but if I hear you say anything about what just happened ill kill you.. Ill be watching..
The mysterious person walks to a back room. Darlene curiously follows.
Darlene: hey wait up who are you?
?: *turns around* you really want to know?
Darlene:*silently nods in approval with a smile*
?: my name is Linda...you happy
Darlene: well hello Linda I'm Darlene *reaches out hand to be shook*
Linda: *looks at darlene's outstretched hand* hmph *walks away*
Darlene: hey you seem lonely Linda, I'm lonely now also, I feel like I can trust you so ill let you on a little something..*takes a deep breath* well my two best friends went missing yesterday during the emergency shut down and..
Linda: *eyes wide and she slams her hand on a table*your friends weren't those two guys who left the colony were they!!!??
Darlene: *silently nods*
Linda: Amazing! I've been trying to leave the colony for years! How did they plan it? It must have took a long time!
Darlene: well not really, my friend Joseph planned it somehow in a couple of hours I think.
Linda: he must be a genius! You know how complex the security system is here?! And he got out just like that!?
Darlene: well it was a little more but yeah that's basically it..
Linda: wow, but I'm sorry to hear that, to be honest they are probably dead by now, it takes a very special set of skills to survive out there.
Darlene: Nah I'm sure they're fine Terry is with him..
Linda: Terry? That simulator guy? Pssh whatever, simulations are nothing like the real deal trust me I know, I haven't always lived in the colony my whole life ya know.
Darlene: I see, but he is really skilled trust me he's strong and fast and smart, and...
Linda: I bet he's a coward in the face of real danger..
Darlene: well I wouldn't know that, we've never seen real danger living here...
Linda: exactly my point.. now I have to get back to work, so either leave or sit and shut up.
Linda sits down at a broken down women table and begins pulling out all kinds of blueprints, and pencils and rulers.
Darlene: are those blueprints for the colony?
Linda: *sigh* yes they are now stop talking I won't tell you again.. don't make a sound.
Darlene: fine I'm sorry..geeze...*picks up a coin that is sitting on the end table by the door*
She begins to examine the coin..
*BANG!*
the coin flies out of Darlene's hands and into the air
Darlene: *eyes wide hands in the air*
Linda:*still holding the gun* I told you to not do anything or make a sound *snatches coin out the air and gets back to work*
Darlene: *thinking to herself* oh my goodness her aim is amazing, she really did miss on purpose earlier..
Linda: *smiles to herself* Hmph its finished..
Darlene: *gains concerned look on her face*
Linda turns around to reveal a small compact metal tube with a clock set on it for 5 mins.
Darlene: I know you told me to shut up but what is that? I'm concerned
Linda: its ok to talk now I just like to concentrate while I'm working.. but this here...is a bomb..
