There are no issues with AOT being hyped, it's great that something like that is on top, rather shows like this that promote quality directing and animation rather than tits and ass be at the top.

That's a perspective and opinion wise, it's not general. I have always enjoyed DBZ in eng dub much more than the japanese version since the difference between them is immense.

The issue is overhyped, not it just being hyped. I'm fine with a series getting hype but not to the point of it being overhyped/overly praised. Ofc you'll find it to be "top quality", however obviously I don't and didn't meet the standard people were praising it for. It is easily the most overrated anime I've seen. In fact, the anime was just meh for me.

Again, with the tits and ass comparison lmfao? Not sure which anime you're referring to exactly from this year, I'll assume Keijo (?). Those animes usually do abysmal to okay at best for the most part and cater to a niche market of otakus.

Idol shows in Japan are popular since they're cross-promoted with Jpop idol groups at time iirc. It's not a huge surprise that it was a hit since it is advertised heavy from what I hear too.
