I did that on Tuesday. Heard about it since some time ago but forgot. When I've read RVP was given PFA Award (late congrats to him), I remembered these.
And today, i thought it could be a nice thread.
The Best Goal was perhaps the hardest choice of them all for me. All goals were so exceptional that I had a hard time choosing.
You should fill it And yeah, the poll was for Best Player. I guess you misread. I wanted to add a poll on a category that was among Panel Choice and best Players seems the most befitting.
Just announcing the winners and posting my thoughts!
PANEL VOTES
Best Player
Ryan Giggs (Manchester United)

I find it completely well-deserved. I chose Cantona for being the initiator of EPL in my view but Giggs was always the closest to Cantona on that list to me. And I find it completely justified. Congrats!
Best Manager
Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United)

Does this need comments? Nah!
Best Team
Arsenal (The 'Invincibles' 2003/4)

I guess I don't quite agree since United's 1998 season had a Treble (including CL) at the end also. But since it's a EPL Exclusive Awards, we can not consider other trophies and then, this choice seems fairer. Arsene Wenger said "My target is to get Arsenal back to the Invincibles level" on winning this honor. Sounds tough but I've got huge respect for Wenger. And it seems a nice objective for a club with tons of youngsters.
Best Season
2011/12 (Champions Manchester City)
No one and I mean no one could think that the Best Season of EPL would have been this 2011/12 Season. Sure, I won't have given it since this Season was painful for United and arguably the craziest. But still, I smile at this season and agree with the Panel. I watched the best Finale from these 2 Manchester Clubs; with highest drama and only Goal Difference separating them at the end. I may not be the greatest season in terms of playing-style and technicality but it was the most close, intense and jaw-dropping EPL Season I've watched in my life.
Most Memorable Quote
Kevin Keegan ("I will love it..." 1996)
Weird choice...It's British taste I guess

PUBLIC VOTES
Best Goal
Wayne Rooney (Man Utd v Man City, February 2011)

Congrats Wayne! Insane goal! I prefer Cantona's goal though but the goal votes were the ones where I took like 15 minutes to vote. Even after watching all the beyond-greats goals again and again. Was tough decision. He got 26% of votes; finishing ahead of Bergkamp (19%) and Henry (15%)
Best Match
Man Utd 4-3 Man City (September 2009)
I agree and it feels befitting that the Season that was rewarded Best Season had a title-clash between Manchester rivals and that the Best Match in 20 EPL Years was a Manchester Derby. Though I had more emotions in their distance clash (v/s QPR & Sunderland ones) which was more thrilling.
Best Save
Craig Gordon (Sunderland v Bolton Wanderers, December 2010)
It was an astounding save as were all the saves but I'll admit that I'm surprise he pipped Super-Schmeichel! Even he was surprised but obviously really elated! Congrats. it's nice to see not-so-popular players also being rewarded by a fans-panels specially.
Best Goal Celebration
Eric Cantona (Man Utd v Sunderland, December 1996)
The goal was better than the celebration but it's true that I'll always smile whenever I'll see his nonchalance after putting such a wonder-goal. I love everything with that goal sincerely. He dribbled like 3-5 players from the center and after already realizing such a dribbling prowess, he made it even better. Some would have shoot it hard or dribbles some players like Messi or Maradona but Cantona was too great for that. He made a chip that is the same kind of chip that players do on a penalty (calling it a panenka). It's already hard to realize this kind of chip on a set-piece. Cantona did it after crazy dribbles and put that chip at 90 degrees angle of the post. Like A Boss! Or should I say Like King Cantona!!!
FANTASY TEAMS
Public Vote: Peter Schmeichel; Ashley Cole, Tony Adams, Nemanja Vidic, Gary Neville; Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard, Cristiano Ronaldo; Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer.
Expert Panel: Peter Schmeichel; Ashley Cole, Tony Adams, Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville; Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Cristiano Ronaldo; Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer.
Very few changes. Panel chose Ferdinand and Keane over fans' Vidic and Gerrard respectively. I guess panels primed experience and longevity more. Like Ferdinand played more than Vidic. Though Vidic is better in my opinion. I was surprised that Ashley took the left flank with such overtly ease. Fans gave him a whooping 40% votes and piping Irwin sounds weird. I can agree that most fans of today didn't get to witness the amazing Irwin but I'm surprised by the Panel.
Last big surprise was the exclusion of Cantona as striker. He got 1% less vote than Shearer who got 18%. It was close but I'm still surprised. I get a feeling that he was rigged when I see how he was nominated in so many categories and he won only Goal Celebration at the end. Perhaps, his bad boy reputation got him minus marks by the Panel.
Who knows...Overall, this list is overtly dominated by United players though. Yeah, my list was even more with only 2 non-United players on that list but here we got 7 out of 11 United players chosen by Panel and 6 United players chosen by fans on Starting 11. And handing the 2 out of 3 most prestigious Awards to Giggs and Ferguson tells the whole story!

Yes, I was sure of my choice. Though as I said, Giggs was a very close 2nd in my mind. But I don't see what surprising about declaring that Eric was the Best EPL Player Ever.
I mean, quite some people voted for him on this poll, he was nominated in most category in those Awards. Just surprising that he won only Goal Celebration.
I really like everything with that objective truly. He dribbled like 3-5 gamers from the heart and after already acknowledging such a dribbling a basketball expertise, he created it even better. Some would have capture it difficult or dribbles some gamers like Messi or Maradona but Cantona was too excellent for that.
