I hate his ears. Most of the time he looks like crap. So he's minus points for his own appearance right off the bat.
He's minus some more because he looks ridiculous next to Tsume's companion Kuromaru, who well... is badass. Wolfish with an eye-patch.
Minus some more points because even his med-nin vet sister Hana has the Three Haimaru Brothers who look pretty good, bit like huskies.

I adore Kakashi's ninken - so again, minus points for not being able to hold his own in comparison. Lacks any appealing character/personality next to Pakkun.

He can't talk.

His 'Dynamic Marking' technique is as appealing/admirable to me as Might Guy's green jumpsuit.
