...And would be still have been taken down if he didn't face his granny...? (And if so, name off ninja who could have taken him down), or whom you feel would. :)

I think his downfall was the emotions he still held for his grandmother, and had it been anybody else, he wouldn't have been beaten. Chiyo was extremely talented with puppetry but I think Sasori was better, and therefore could have won that fight.

His puppet body was his whole strength.

Plus, I don't think that with out Chiyo they would have won against Sasori, cuz she knew him and his abilities the best. :yeah:

His down fall was plot first and foremost, he would've been takendown because Kishi wanted the Akatsuki dead. If you are talking about "power" and could he have won't then yeah Chiyo even said so. Sasori could have killed them at the end because he saw through her trap but for some odd(plot) reason he had a change of heart.

Sasori's puppet body was in actuality a very good defensive strategy, as his heart implant could be redirected to another puppet at will.

Sakura is a smart lady; without Chiyo, she could have figured out Sasori's shell's weakness, albeit with more time fighting it. However, we have to remember the part where Sasori unleashes those thousands of needle-like attacks that poisons all who touch it. She was using Chyo's chakra string to dodge the attacks. Then again, she did not know Sakura had antidotes to save her for five minutes each. That being said, the needles still puncture the body--enough punctures from the needles mean too much blood loss to handle. So where does Sakura come in at this point? She has healing jutsu, but it takes time for her to heal one injury point. These needles would puncture her in multiple areas. In the end, Sasori would win against Sakura with medium difficulty.

His downfall was letting them win.

Chiyo said Sasori could have dodged that last attack, but did not because he loved his granny. Sasori solos so many people it is ridiculous.

Sasori's best asset was his puppet body, not his downfall. As far as the second part goes, Chiyo was the only one who could have done it, and she techincally didn't since he had a change of heart and decided to spare his granny. Plot was the true cause of his downfall..

No

And no

To answer your 3rd question, not many...Its one of the only reasons why chiyo was introduced (and then immediately died), I think maybe the gai/kakashi combination could kill him but naruto was a fodder at the time.

His downfall was that he could not completely remove his emotions when he turned himself into a puppet.. Fighting his grandma made those emotions resurface eventually leading to him taking his own life ...

I honestly don't know how he didn't win with the iron sand....it was laced with Poison

If I was him, I would have just shot them like bullets at both chiyo and sakura, and they would eventually get hit

Oh yeah, yeah he did.....big time

In reality, I'm pretty sure Sasori would have won every time

But in Naruto, villains have to lose :/

Sasori died because in the end he let himself be killed. He probably did this because, as an artist, he saw the opportunity to die in the embrace of his parents/puppets as the best end his life could have.

Him surviving the team he faced (a prodigy of medical ninjutsu who made an antidote for his special poison + his own grandma and mentor who knew his ability better than anyone else) speaks of how powerful he was.

That said, ninja who can positively take down Sasori are (I'm also sticking to the databook):

1. Nagato/Pain
2. Itachi
3. Tobi
4. Jiraiya
5. Tsunade
6. Orochimaru
7. Madara
8. Hashirama
9. Naruto
10. Sasuke

I'd add to that list (sage) Kabuto and Kakashi, even if Kakashi and Sasori share the same power level (34.5). I'm fairly certain Hiruzen cannot beat Sasori (34.5 > 34) but on the other side I'd bet both Minato and Tobirama would give Sasori a bad time.

Chiyo was the cause of his defeat, she was a puppeteer and knew puppeteers tactics.
