Everyone knows how ridiculously powerful Hashirama is. However, there's 2 things we often overlook about him.
1. difficulty of using sage mode and the wooden statue:
We know the destructive power Hashirama has in sage mode. However, sage mode requires him to be motionless which makes him vulnerable. Since he doesn't have Naruto's clone trick, it's very dangerous to enter sage mode. Despite this, wood clones make for good backup, but someone like Minato or Naruto might be able to keep Hashirama on his toes and prevent sage mode. Not to mention that the statue is a one shot.
That's the overlooked aspect on how Hashirama is weaker than most generally think. Here's how he's stronger.
2. tailed beasts:
For VS matches, we usually choose characters at their best. Hashirama had perfect control of all 9 tailed beasts! Imagine what he could do with them! This is the other thing that's overlooked.
