I think OP was saying act as if Gaiden didn't happen, so that he could end the war in a better fashion and probably give us more unique characters in Gaiden because what we have now is underwhelming.

Maybe kishi could have made bz hide a piece of himself in the ground before naruto punched him into the ct with kaguya he wasn't in sm so he wouldn't sense it then bz takes over oro and makes him take madaras rinnegan
