At the gates of the hospital, Itachi leaned against one of the walls, sliding down to the ground as his consciousness faded in and out. He had endured the grueling journey from the training grounds, but it was not through his own physical capability, but his own sheer force of will. His pain had triggered a racing of thoughts during the 'walk', the near-death experience providing many... revelations.
Of course, this would all be for naught were he not rescued in time.
Help would arrive, thought the young Itachi thought.
Huehuehue, Itachi-sama, this is perfect.
The snake-pedophile thing man, Orochimaru, slithered into Itachi's recovery chambers, knowing full well that Itachi has had bad eye problems due to some recent affairs on craigslist. Itachi-san somehow acquired an incurable disease in his time on Craigslist as well, so it was now or never.

Orochimaru quickly took the pillow and smothered Itachi's face in it, slowly making the man unable to breath air as Orochimaru stuck his huge tongue out, defiling the man's ears.
Yet another patient sent to us by the Snake Sage? This is happening too often for my liking... Shinta says to himself as he studies his patients chart. Well, better get started. Shinta says aloud as he begins to use medical chakra to cleanse his hands and the patients wound, preparing him for the procedure to come.

Description: The medical shinobi fills his palms with moderate amounts of semi-aggressive chakra and runs them over any areas of the patient’s body he wants to clean of any microorganisms, controlling the chakra flow constantly so it doesn't becomes too lethal. The area affected is 4 times the area of the users hands. After being done, his chakra automatically turns back to his regular, non-harmful and calm one.
Shinta starts by placing his hands on the patients chest, pulsing chakra though him as a sort of scan, looking for the damage he was here to treat. Shinta then begins to press on certain ribs, manipulating Itachi's resting position as Shinta grabs and pulls his arms and legs in order to get better pressure on certain bones. After a few moments of satisfying snaps, clicks and pops, Shinta was happy with the position of the patients bones. He then begins to focus chakra into his hands once again, passing them ever the newly positioned bones to start a rapid healing process. Within moments the ribs had returned to there unbroken state, allowing Shinta to proceed with the treatment of the soft tissue.

Description: When facing a clean and complete bone fracture of a long bone (the bones in the limbs or ribs) and having had manually set the bone in place, the user will focus chakra through his palms and pass them over the fracture, forcing his chakra to influence the osteocytes to start releasing their calcium, which then creates a welded suture between two ends of a broken bone. After that, the stimulated osteocytes lock the calcium back into their structure and the bone is completely healed. Despite not healing any injury to the soft tissues surrounding the fracture, the technique can be very useful when treating simple, clean fractures.
After several more passed of his hands over the patients wounds, it was apparent that Shinta had kick-started the healing process. Via use of more medical chakra, stitching the broken tissue back together and causing new tissue to grow in place of the dead and destroyed tissue lost due to the nature of the injuries, Itachi could be mistaken for a perfectly healthy person. However, the trauma done to the body and the energy consumed via the increased rate of healing induced by Shinta's actions, would render Itachi bed-ridden and exhausted for at least three more days.
(Iryō Ninjutsu: Seru Soutei) Medical Technique: Cell Binding

Description: The user will focus chakra through one of his hands and forcefully makes separated tissue (cuts, severed body parts, etc) bound together. First, the user wills his chakra to physical bind the tissue together, only to then force the cells to bind together as they were before the trauma. By manipulating the Inter-cellular proteins on the surface of the cells to re-knit the tissue cytoskeleton. The technique can only bind cells and tissue together if there hasn't been any tissue loss. However, it can be used to even reattach cut limbs or body parts.
Note: For this technique to have effect, an actual separation between cells that were once together must be present. This technique will not work on uninjured tissue.
(Iryō Ninjutsu: Saibō no saisei) Medical Technique: Cellular regeneration

Description: The medical ninja forcibly controls the cell cycle of the target tissue, causing rapid proliferation of the cells, thereby regenerating the tissue. This is done by infusing the cells of the target tissue with the users own healing chakra, potentiating mitosis and tissue growth. The drawback of this technique is that its not actually a healing technique but a tissue growth technique. It can serve to grow missing tissue but it cannot heal in the truth essence of the word and in essence is a much simpler application of the Mystic Palm technique.
Before leaving, Shinta prescribes some pain medication and herbal pills for Itachi's recovery while also recording the rest time on Itachi's chart. Three days bed-rest. Shinta then leaves the room, allowing Itachi to rest.
Itachi snapped awake in what appeared to be a bed. Taking a moment to gain his bearing, he rubbed his eyes. Upon looking down at his injuries, they seemed to be healed almost perfectly. There was a little soreness... but nothing unbearable.
How long had it been?
Sitting up, he was then attended to by a nurse as he began the checkout process. Thanking the hospital for their services and leaving a thank-you note for Dr. Shinta, Itachi, diligent as ever, made his way back to the training grounds.
