ichibi - means one tails
shukaku - is his real name
guessing shukaku didnt care and just told everyone his name probably because he wanted them to fear his name

First: the tailed beasts don't have "slave names". The names you refer too are names referring to the number of tails each beast has, since no one had any way of knowing if they actually had names. We name animals things like dogs for similar reasons. The slave name would be the personal name the owner gives his dog.

Second: the name you're referring too is "Ichibi", its real name is "Shukaku"

Third: You dont get rep for asking a question. Typically people give you rep for answering someone else's question or having an interesting theory/point. Regardless though, asking for rep isn't the way to get rep either. People may even give you bad rep for doing so.

Only a douche bag would do that @ the bold. I humor'd him and gave him rep. In any case as this guy said his name is ichibi but his real name is shukaku

You sir, have painted the picture perfectly. You should NEVER ask for REP. But unfortunately, a lot of people (myself included back when I 1st joined in 2009) have asked for it, so we can't really say much. Can we?
