I doubt it, maybe because of the new usergroup they added for the 1st place contest winners this option was added too. Maybe they copy-pasted the code of premium usergroup then changed it, and the paid subscription option remained.
I don't think it's fair to buy a first place contest winner. What's the meaning on it's name then ?

The premise is that it's a glitch, much in the same manner we assume it's not going to be 999 dollars if this whole thing is legit.

Even the title given to the subscription implies it.

Then there's the "this is the usergroup for contest winners".

I think they still have to work out some some things.
