Kushimaru is both very thin and tall in stature, giving him an overall gangling appearance. He had long, shaggy light-coloured hair. Due to his service within the ANBU, his face is concealed by a white porcelain mask, with a darker-coloured triangle on its lower half, slits for eye holes and Kirigakure's symbol carved on its top. His attire consisted of a sleeveless black shirt, matching pants, complete with a waist-guard, and Kirigakure's striped wrist and leg-guards. He also wore bandages around his neck much like the other members of his generation of the Kiri swordsmen.
Personality: Kushimaru is a sadist taking great pleasure in stitching multiple foes together into a twisted amalgamation of bodies with his signature weapon the Nuibari.
he is quiet by nature and though could have been considered a talented medical ninja but prefers the screams for mercy rather than there thanks.

History: Kushimaru was considered to be a rather angry child in the academy who dispite being well looked after by his clan did he did not consider them worthy of his time and had always been found near the location of two murders close to his home. no evidence was able to pin him on the crimes.
in the academy he showed quite an affinity for the human body but when asked if he was wanted to join the medical corps advised sensei that he had no interest in helping others but to inflict as much pain as possible for as long as he possibly could.
at one point he murdered an anbu op who had tried to leave the village, Kushimaru took the mask for himself and did not hand it back to the Anbu. When he himself joined Anbu he used the mask that he had required earlier.
Inducted into the Seven Swordsmen when the previous wielder of Nuibari died in disgrace against the 3rd Hokage of the Leaf.
was known to get along with Zabuza quite well and it is believed that he will only remove his mask in the presence of the Mizukage and Zabuza all others have met untimely and horrific ends
