Madrid offer world-record 155 million deal to
keep Ronaldo.
It looks like Real Madrid are ready to break the
bank in their bid to keep Cristiano Ronaldo with
the team post-2015 when the Portuguese
superstar's contract expires.
Madrid are in advanced talks with Ronaldo's representatives over a deal
totalling around 155 million (approximately US $
207m) over five years, with the Portuguese
forward set to earn 15m (US $20m) annually after
tax in what will be the most lucrative contract in
the history of the game.Ronaldo has scored 201 goals in 199 games in his four years at the club.
Real Madrid president Perez has already revealed
the club's intention to build the team around the
Portuguese striker. "I want to build Real Madrid
around Cristiano Ronaldo," he said late last
month. "And I want Cristiano to be the best-paid
player in the world." Now, it looks like it might just happen...
