So, I get frustrated on the base because a lot of what are considered predictions are mostly things people wish would happen, like "Minato will come back as an Edo and fight Itachi" or "sasuke will get an even greater sharingan than EMS..." and so on. While I guess anything is statistically "possible," i feel that the percentage of those things actually happening in so slim, its not really worth being called a "prediction" but more of a storyline desire.
In light of these sorts of predictions, I'd like to make a few predictions of my own that I feel are more likely to happen considering the writing style. Some may be wrong, and some have been guessed at by others as well, but here they are nonetheless:
PS: I'm an arrogant jerk and my predictions will be lame, but i think I'm a genius for putting them all down... So just take them all with a grain of salt
1. Itachi will soon use Izanami on kabuto and get him to work on releasing edo... (getting the easy ones out of the way)
2. Sasuke will gain the abilities of both izanagi/mi and be able to use them with greater frequency because of EMS (eyes that will never lose they're light). This seems to be a given I think, although many have tried to refute it. Time will tell, but I can't imagine this not being the case.
3. Naruto and Sasuke will have a big fight... I'm sure everyone knew that, but I figured we'd get the pink elephant in the room out of the way. I can't imagine that it would be the FINAL fight, but certainly near the end. (Wow, not like they've been hyping this up at all)
4. Tobi will get Jubi... Again, can't imagine this not happening. Not sure as to the means of the acquisition, but it would be anticlimactic to hype up an enemy so much and never show it.
5. Naruto will die... at the very least, for a time. He'll be revived by someone, possibly Tsunade at the cost of her own life... Which leads me to my next point...
6. Tsunade will die. This is my prediction that I'm least sure of because it doesn't seem necessary for the story to progress, so there's a lot of flexibility with this one.
7. Sasuke will assist in the fight against Tobi
8. Naruto will, at some point, be in control of all the tailed beasts, probably as separate entities, but possibly as Jubi.
These last few predictions are highly flexible as they seem remotely necessary to the story and some are contradictory to each other, but these seem like some of the few ways the story can end well:
9. Naruto will become Hokage (this seems like a "for sure" thing, but maybe he'll only be recognized as Kage, and never actually get to rule as hokage)
10. Naruto may REALLY die... or not. Maybe he lives and rules as Hokage... Hard to say. (a lame prediction: "naruto may or may not die..." I'm dumb.)
11. Sasuke may die... As a writer, it would be difficult to find a way to assimilate Sasuke back into the hidden leaf after everything that's happened. Killing him off would be an easy solution, although, not the only solution, so that's why Sasuke's death is a very real possibility, but not my favorite outcome for him... Seems like a bit of a cop-out. (a little less lame prediction: "It would be easy for Sasuke to die, but I hope he doesn't...")
12/13: Either the tailed beasts will go free or the will indefinitely dwell within Naruto. One of these outcomes seems likely, but not definite.
So there we have 13 predictions. I'd like to keep track of how many I get right over the next year or so as Naruto wraps up. Help me keep track of if I'm totally wrong or if I'm right and let me know of what you guys think about the predictions, whether you agree or disagree.
