This thread fails in so many ways it's not even funny, smh. Half of the pages you posted dont even reflect intelligence, but rather simple usage of techniques granted to him through sharingan. There has been no match where Itachi has shown any special intelligence, he simply learned Uchiha history/abilites and utilized them, nothing more nothing less.

The moments in which he tried to some intelligence (if that's what you wanna call it) was his way of planning ahead. However, each time he tried to have any significant effect he FAILED miserably.

-against Kabuto he simple used a forbidden jutsu to end Edo, which shows no feat of intelligence just intel and this failed as all (major) Edo were already sealed -_-

-against Orochimaru both were standing face-to-face and he used genjutsu, how simple was that, like really. Now, I'll give credit for being about to refrain him, but most of the credit is the sharingan itself. Actually when thinking about it, for him to have been so superior in genjutsu Orochimaru was still able to move and attempt to break it regardless. At the end his attempt to rid Orochimaru FAILED

-against Nagato, i dont even need to say he thought of the most common sense tactics, while Nagato was a controlled dead brain, next to two other dummies (Naruto and Bee). In the situation i would hope he would look smart.

-any attempt of trying to save/prevent/influnce Sasuke failed more than once, the shyt isnt even funny.

-he wasn't able to do anything significant in stopping Tobi, or the capturing of Naruto that required any base of intelligence.

Itachi is a little above average in the intelligence departemnt, but people fail to even really consider what he has actually done the shows any special feat of intelligence. Mastering the use of genjutsu is no small feat, but so have others.

It's simple knowing you shyt and using it to your advantage, in this case the Sharingan and Uchiha history.

Itachi stopped planetary devastation which is peins most awesome technique, and it was a technique that belonged to Sage of 6 paths according to pein. And intelligence is about finding a means and improvising and best executing your knowledge to influence a desired outcome and that is exactly what itachi did on a high level.

I left that for others to do, given that I proposed this as a debate thread. So far, nobody has supplied statements or feats anywhere near what I have. Besides, I've already concluded who I believe to be the smartest shinobi, so me outlining others wouldn't do them any favors.

well he was smart but not the most intelligent ninja and the only proof ya need is Itachi faded when edo was ended he didn't know you could sever you soul from the jutsu user he knew how to take back control of his body but Madara didn't even know about edo-tensi it was orochimaru jutsu he created and madara quickly figured out how to sever his connection and stay alive even after the jutsu was released.

Madara definitely knew about Edo Tensei, as he expressed familiarity with the jutsu to Kabuto. Tobirama, Hashirama's brother, was the inventor of the jutsu. Orochimaru simply refined it, and Kabuto refined it even further.
