My opinion, there was a list for Sasuke but why not even the odds? Enjoy ~
1. Fails and knows how to get back up and keep trying
2. Inspirational when needed to be
3. Is an Uzumaki (clan that got wiped out years before he was born)
4. Has to trian hard to get better(when not given power ups with the other MC)
5. Was the underdog before he became a legend, which makes you root for him more
6. Isn't a Kurapika rip off (backstory included)
7. The strongest alive male character of NV
8. Will never be defeated by anyone alive
9. Will never intentionally try to kill any of his best friends because he is mad
10. Progressive and strives forward
11. Fastest character of NV (Who is alive) without teleportation
12. Doesn't rely on his brother or sister's eyes to keep him from going blind
13. Makes the manga funny/hilarious
14. Always has surprising feats when you least expect it
15. Doesn't use a weapon and relies on straight hand to hand combat

Sasuke never mentioned he would be gone for so long, and Naruto didn't know how long he would be gone either. He just wanted to help Sasuek in defeating the new threat, nothing more)
