Minato simply doesn't have the capability to take naruto even with his speed and FTG. He would need a boost in speed and an attack that would actually harm naruto.

^I'm still on Minato's side here but Naruto wasn't in SM when Pain pierced him.

There's no evidence to suggest that a well placed Rasengan couldn't damage him, if Sage Mode was really that good he wouldn't be using Bijuu Mode or Nine Tails Chakra Mode at all because that would make SM far far better.


In SM Naruto just doesn't have the chakra reserves to take on Minato as soon as it run out he'd be finished and it's only good for 5 minutes if he isn't spamming Rasengan constantly which is what he does.

all minato will have to do in this fight is keep distance till SM runs out and if naruto chucks RasenShuriken as him warp it back to him
and then just teleport to him and kill him
