I am not trying to imply anything, you made it seem like non eye contact ocular genjutsu was unique to sasuke and itachi. This was further suggested when you said doing so may be related to genetics

Because I work with shown facts, not assumptions.

- Shisui/KA, Itachi & Sasuke are the only ones to ever do it.
- Madara needed eye contact to genjutsu Kurama, a fodder shinobi and Ay.
- Obito needed eye contact to genjutsu Kurama.
