I actually really like iruka as a character I wouldn't be surprised if he was in people's top ten, iruka is like narutos uncle ben

I don't dislike or hate Iruka, but when it comes to the top 10 Naruto characters, they should be a list of characters with well established backgrounds, and fleshed out development (thus far).

Characters like Hinata, Iruka, Sakura, and whoever else, just don't make the list credible. It's more of who has a larger fan base than 'which character is actually developed' in a complex way.

Like the fact that Jiraiya didn't make that list bugs me. Cause he shits on most of those by himself.

Not really, I like gaara more than itachi. Itachi is the typical emo prodigious genius. Characters like him exist in alot of manga's, take byakuya from bleach for example.

Outside of NB, people aren't crazed fanatics over itachi, well most anyways.

Naruto and sasuke didn't Make the anime or manga better it was mainly the " villains" and side characters

This the truth. The most common gripe about Lawd Naruto is that he and basically all other shounen MC's are similar. I could write a dissertation on how it's false, but what really gets me is the irony.

But Sasuke's character is the single most tired trope ever. In every story ever, there's some edgelord, "2 kewl 4 skool" toolbag with a bad attitude and 'ladies man' attributes. I honestly think the die-hard fans of Sasuke are the type of kids that have seen the inside of too many lockers IRL and live vicariously through him.

Look at Kakashi. He's had a *worse* past, Rikudou MS Kakashi is just as strong (if not stronger) than Sasuke, he's got better outfits, but his fanbase is way more chill and laid back because Kakashi isn't an edgelord d-bag. There's some connection here, Harvard needs to investigate it.
