I love how Obito didn't revive the Juubi right away with the Gold and Silver brothers. Thus causing needless bloodshed.

And we are suppose to feel sorry for him. XD

I understand why Obito will be recorded in history as a villain. He committed too many crimes that could only be partially redeemed with his death. But what I do not agree on is the lack of weight given to his contribution in the end, when it was truly necessary.

There is a reason why I used Minato as an example, because he (like all shinobi) committed crimes, but their scale was different. Obito was the cause of thousands of deaths, Minato was the cause of hundreds. The scale of Obito's crimes are greater than anyone else'.
However, on the opposite side of the coin, the scale of Obito's contribution was also great.

Returning to my original post, Obito was a hero that lost his way (from Rin dying up until Naruto and Sasuke knocked the tailed beasts out of him) but in his LAST moments, he returned to the hero that he was meant to be. As opposed to looking at the length of time, I am looking at the impact that his heroics caused.

I ask anyone this. Was there any way for the characters to win the fight against Kaguya if Obito was not there? The same can be said for Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. All members that opposed Kaguya and lead to her defeat can be considered a hero, regardless of how long their heroics lasted.

what do you think?

They wouldn't even get to Kaguya without Obito. Madara would have killed them, cast IT, and the BZ would have murdered him and Kaguya would stand around wondering what to do next.

knoweldge is a relative concept...you got your own definition of villain...and i got mine....Madara was the only good and villain guy...

he was the yin and yang....Madara's way is villain but his goal is good

Villian identification is subjective, but a villain's goal shouldn't be so gray/blurry that it mixes or seems "good" compared to the hero's goal per se. Although by definition madara is a villain, such as any person whose evil/negative actions affect the plot.

1-you are a true NB member and i respect you so much becuz you disagree with me in rational manner!

2-it's nice to regrete your wrong deeds but that wont make you a Hero....he was just trying to redeem himself...the true heroes are the fodder shinobies who died protecting their villages......

3- yeah in war shinobies kill each others.....but not becuz of a 13 years who girl died ...storng goals requires strong motivations!!

Not saying he was a girl, but Izuna.... cough cough...

Great thread. Obito was a pedophile fodder who deserved that splinter to the abdomen. You wouldn't believe how happy I was when that retard was finally killed off.
