A lot of y'all are confusing immunity with avoidance, SM users and sensors can avoid genjutsu but they're NOT immune to it. If they get caught they're screwed, unlike perfect Jins and dojutsu users.

Dojutsu users need a partner to defeat Sound Genjutsu and Some consider Jinchuuriki as 2 on1...in that case everyone could lose to Genjutsu...well, maybe not six paths chakra users.

Didn't Shikamaru break Tayuya's sound genjutsu by himself? Kabuto's was only "harder" because he had field advantage and it was used in a closed area.
