I didn't mention using it offensively. It is a powerful barrier though. BM Killer bee couldn't even get past it, he got burned pretty bad. Nothing Kisame has can get past it either.

Not all lakes are equal in volume. This is the best scale for Kisame's Suiton against Gai:

It's hardly that big of a lake. Still, Juubi covers far proportional volume than that, and Obito's Katon covered it.

Yes I am basing off that time, but he has used mokuton before to suppress chakra:

Obito with Kamui wins with ease. He phases through everything Kisame tries to use against him and then finds a way to warp him. Thanks to Kamui he was facing Kakashi, Gai, Naruto and Bee all together, before Kakashi understood his jutsu and countered with his own.

Obito can win also without using Kamui, with Sharingan genjutsu, chakra rods and Mokuton.
