The day wasn't going as Hunter as planned, to say the least. 'I should have listened and stayed in..' While he couldn't say it out loud these thoughts kept haunting him as he sat on the unfamiliar green grass in the middle of... 'somewhere, right?..' With his hand smacking his forehead, he recalled how he had gotten in this situation in the first place. After uncharacteristically volunteering to train on an off-day, not too far from his orphanage, he had found a strange looking seal on one of the trees. Clearly, curiosity got the best of him as he had only just touched the seal that he felt his entire body in a state of weightlessness for a couple seconds until he popped back up on the unfamiliar grounds. "Stupid, stupid", he finally blurted as he smacked himself on the head in dismay and disbelief.
"Well now, don't beat yourself up already"
The voice suddenly came out from the trees as Hunter froze in place. After a second of realizing it wasn't some internal monologue, he abruptly gets up as musters enough strength to speak, "W-Who is it there? Where are you?"
"Now, now.. don't be so cautious. I'm here to help you. You wanted to train so badly that your 'will' carried you to my ultra special training grounds. You should be thanking me to be hones-"
"Stop messing around. What is this place? How could you possibly know what I was thinking of?"
As Hunter screamed back at the trees, he suddenly felt a chill in the air as the atmosphere changed in less than half the blink of an eye. Sweats started forming on his body as the fear crept up. It wasn't natural. It was a message.
"You're in one of my dimensions used for training. The 'seal' you found back then was a portal of sorts.. well.. I'm sure you don't need to listen much more. Your partner will be arriving soon. I'm guessing you want to leave this place? Well, I only have one key to send back one of you. You decide who's that gonna be. hehehe"
"My what-", Hunter couldn't finish before seeing the familiar distortion of space up ahead of him, pulling out what seems to be a person.

 

[Yin]

It had been a while since Maria had been outside of the clocktower.... However, tonight was the night of the hunt. And as we all know..... A hoonter moost hoont..... As she cut down mutated foes left and right, stoic as ever, she noticed a peculiar tag on one of the foe's corpse..... "Intriguing..." Maria said before grabbing it, which would be a mistake on her end as the world around her started to distort and change. She looked around as night came day, and an a mysterious figure stood before her a bit away..... She did not take her deathly stare from upon the other person as she wiped the blood of her victims from her face with a pale white cloth, ever so slowly and carefully. She appeared to have touched a tag that had a space and time technique sealed into it. Of course, she heard along the lines the same thing the opposing side had heard. "Welcome to the arena, Lady Maria. Your training partner can be found in front of you. If you acquire victory against them, you will receive a key to get you out of this arena."

Maria thought to herself "training partner?..." Maria did not know where the voice was coming from, and had no desire to talk her way out of this. She figured of this "being" was powerful enough to summon her and another shinobi, or what she would think to be another shinobi, to this area with little effort, she wouldn't even be able to talk her way out of this.

With her cold gaze glaring at her apparent opponent, she pointed her double edged sword at her opponent and spoke coldly..... "Brace thine self. For only one of us shall make it out of here.... And the hunt continues." Specs of fresh blood still spotted on Maria's face as she prepared for the oncoming battle to ensue. Her dead pupils swirled around and revealed eyes as red as the fresh blood on her face. She revealed that she had a 1 tomoe sharingan in each eye, glowing with hatred and killing intent.

Description:
One of the Three Great Dōjutsu (San Daidōjutsu), the Sharingan is the kekkei genkai of the Uchiha clan. Unlike the other Dōjutsu, not all members of the Uchiha Clan possess the Sharingan. This great Dōjutsu seems to awaken only on exceptional Uchiha members and only in times of great stress. Once awaken, the pupil turns red and a single tomoe (巴) seal appears around the center pupil. As the user masters and evolves their eyes, the tomoe (巴) seals increase, topping 3 per eye. The main ability of the Sharingan, like any other Dōjutsu, is to enable the user to see the flow of chakra. This ability is further improved as the Sharingan gives color to chakra, enabling the user to differentiate chakras from different people or from different sources. Although the user can see chakra through matter, he cannot see beyond dense matter or in long distances. Coupled with the ability to see chakra, Sharingan users gain acess to an incredible clarity of perception that enables them to read insanely fast movements or minor details, enabling them the ability to foresee in an easier way, traps, incoming attacks, etc. This clarity of perception is so great that a Sharingan user can sometimes start performing a counter to an attack that is still being performed, enabling the counter to be launched only a split a second after the attack. This clarity of perception leaves Sharingan users able to track high speed movement easily as well as to read through handseals. This last ability enables them to learn techniques much faster and sometimes copy them directly from the enemy, as long as the user has the necessary chakra affinities and requirements to perform it. Finally, the Sharingan is often linked to Genjutsu and mind-manipulating illusions, mostly because the user can, mostly through Eye Contact, directly and precisely use his chakra to manipulate the enemy's chakra flow. In return, the users clarity of perception gives him the ability to more easily decipher visual illusions cast upon him and see past them. The Sharingan has a great cost to the user though. The chakra consumption disables its use for long periods of time and, even when the user grows stronger, it's still hard to keep it active for long periods of time.
Note: The user, if he hasn't gained full mastery over his Sharingan, will need to spend a move to activate it, although as long as he has chakra and enough stamina he'll be able to keep it active until the end of the match. If the user is Sannin Rank or above and has gained his 3 Tomoe Sharingan and held it for one month, he becomes able to passively activate it, meaning he'll no longer spend a move of his 3 per turn.
Note: To avoid direct Eye Contact and be able to focus only on the body movement below the chin, the opponent needs to have mastered Taijutsu to possess the necessary skill
Note: C rank usage is for 1T Sharingan, B rank usage is reserved for 2T Sharingan. A Rank usage is reserved for 3T Sharingan.
Note: Predicting the nature of a technique or what it exactly is requires the user to either know the technique or that its a cannon technique.

For the first time since entering the unfamiliar dimension did Hunter truly come to his senses. Whatever the voice was saying, it was true. There really was another person to enter through the seal like he did. He really did have to escape through defeating his opponent. This was happening right now. While the frightening sight of the bloody lady barely taller than him sent shivers down his spine, he couldn't help but feel a sense of calm. He was Hunter, after all, - a nameless child given the alias because it described what he did best. And while he was young, he encountered several predators before, maybe not someone like her, but predators none the less. This was just like any other day in his life. As his opponent let out a gaze full of killing intent, he gave nothing back. A dead pan face with no emotions, only sincere focus in the eyes.
"Brace thine self. For only one of us shall make it out of here.... And the hunt continues."

The figure infront of him staring with intentful red eyes formed a single comma-like pattern on them. While unsure if it was one of the skills he had read on one of his worn out scrolls, he opted for caution nonetheless. Like he was always going to, anyway. Angling his body diagonally from his opponent, he keeps his left foot forward and right foot at the back, both at 45° angles shuffling lightly - like a regular boxer. As he shuffles he feels the weight of his combat knife just around the left side of his waist. As he takes a final few deep breaths, he exhaled for one last time before charging.
Keeping his body as close to the ground and eyes at his opponent, Hunter bursts forward in speed - using his left hand to simultaneously throw his combat knife towards the mid-section his opponent. Without a single wasted motion, his left hand comes into position to form the Tiger handseal - gathering water behind his opponent that thrashes at her back, pushing her towards the incoming knife in a disoriented state. Stopping abruptly after, while still at Mid-Range, he decides not to waste any offensive time by raising his right hand forward to release bolts of lightning towards his opponent that touches the knife, electrifying it in the process, and continues forward so that, if hit, would not only directly strike Lady Maria but also electrocute her for extra damage because of the previous water technique.

Her opponent didn't seem to have much talk in them. Neither did Maria. She preferred it this way. As she saw him changed his stance and exchanged his lax one for a more offensive one, Maria tilted her head to the side, curiously..... "Sweet, sweet boy... These things will not save you. I'm already two steps ahead of you." Maria said menacingly.

Now, she wasn't quite sure if it was a boy she was facing, however, that is exactly what it looked like. A young, innocent boy. So she addressed him as such. However, the hunt had no age. It had no gender. And it had no remorse. As her opponent bursts forward, she did the exact same. However, it was clear that Maria was well over the boy's physical capability. As the knife closed in, Maria batted it down with her own sword with ease while still running towards the opponent.. Taijutsu and bukijutsu is what Maria specialized in. This was mere child's play. Before she made it to close range, Maria weaved a handseal and took out a kunai with her free left hand and she inhaled while simultaneously doing this and then exhaled, spitting a gas in the eyes of her opponent. She then scraped her kunai onto her sword to send sparks to ignite the gas that now was in front of the opponent and if not properly defended, in his eyes, resulting in temporary blindness and him combusting afterwards. At this point, they were close range and thus Maria slashed viciously at her opponent with her sword in her right hand in a very calculated way. It was a series of three slashes. One horizontally to the torso, one upwards towards the stomach, and one coming back down, aiming to slice his head open and spill his precious, sanguine blood.

Moving forwards in a low stance, Hunter realises the noticable speed advantage his opponent had over him in almost an instant. With her movement much quicker, he sees her swiftly deflect his knife away - but only to be met by trouble. Following through like his original plan, he halts in position and performs the Tiger handseal to create water from the ground directly infront of her, in an arc towards her - both blocking her view and come crashing down on her. While it doesn't necessarily apply the most damage, the weight of the water pushes on her to knock her back. As this happens just after she deflects the knife away, one of her hands would be still be holding onto the sword - leaving her unable to perform a handseal unless having the sword discarded away. Following through the quick water technique, he works to keep the pace by performing the Bird handseal and creating rain clouds above the battleground to cause rain to fall from them - allowing Hunter to detect the target within the area freely. Awaiting to see what his opponent does, he keeps all of his senses at high alert.

When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.

Hunter almost couldn't believe his eyes, not only did he see the opponent power through his attack, but rather approach directly at her insane speeds. Knowing he didn't have too many options, he channels his chakra throughout his body to create an armor of lightning that extends a meter and some around him. This effectively electricutes the wet Maria appraoching with her swinging sword and restricts her movement. The lightning also dissipates immediately after, as he speaks for the first time,

"I'm sorry this situation had to occur"

(So just saying I personally dont think that would work as the first defense you opted failed so i could b wrong but I don't think you just get a second layer of defense like that from casting a jutsu vs my kenjutsu after even I opted to take the hit to make sure my attack went through. However it is totally fine I'll keep going assuming what you did works because I don't actually know to be fair and the battle is nearly over.)


Maria was suddenly met by a jolt of lightning. She thought this to be euphoric as it electrified her and stopped her current attack. As the lightning stopped, the crotch areas of her pants were wet and dripping, almost as if she pee'd on herself. Or something else. We'll never know. She started to laugh... "Ha... HAHA... Bahahahaha!" she busted out in laughter maniacally. "Boy..... It has only just begun....." she said chillingly, following up with the same thing and since she was already close range, there was no way for the small one to avoid it this time as Maria was far too quick. Same technique and same areas and it would undoubtedly hit the young lad. Again, as the crazy person she was or at least came to be in this fight, she licked her blade and practically swallowed the lad's blood, suggesting she was much too fierce and dominant for him.

She did a few flips backwards resetting the neutral between her and her opponent and sliced her hand with her sword.
