Don't forget that the databook 2 says that the Shuriken Kage Bunshin allows Hiruzen to make thousands of shuriken. We only saw about 18 in this chapter so clearly he was holding back just so he can deduct Obito's abilities.

Minato

But even still, none of them have deduced a elemental shape manipulated ball of chakra.

I agreee; some people ignorantly believe being skilled equals to being strong; they are not the same thing; he acted wisely there; instead of using a firepower of a technique which would evetuanlly fail, he used techs that would be done fairly easly and allow him to gain some info; they will probably build their strategy and attacks on these information. Sakura analyzed tobi justu and found out how it works the first time looking at it. It took kakashi 3 times to figure it out.
Hirzuen is not that special one little feat isn't proving his title.

I really dont need to get into this. I can honestly list around probably 10 shinobi that have shown pretty much the same equal analyzing feat that hiruzen has shown.

Not too mention you dont even take into consideration that Hiruzen had pre knowledge regarding Onokis jinton which helped him deduce the Juubitos ball of chakra.

I was incredibly happy when I saw this in the manga; Hiruzen's my favorite Hokage and to see him break down a jutsu, after only seeing it for the first time and discovering what it does, the fact that there is most likely no elemental counter to it, and the time duration fact...

Kakashi himself witnessed Kamui several times before coming up with a sure-fire analysis of it! The Professor is proven; and I god damn love it. He really is the only Edo I want to see do things. Next... We just need him to use a few rare Konoha jutsu to reinforce the fact that he can use all the jutsu; or a grand amount....

I was sayin what he said was ignorance, becuase the thread had nothing to do with hiruzen's strngth. We are simply talking about his intellegence and to bring up his strength seems like a way to insult him.

Do you honestly believe that Sakura can figure out that Obito's jutsu is comprised of multiple elements just by looking at it? I think not.

Actually what proved his God of Shinobi hype was him using dem bigass shurikens. It proved he's the god of shinobis that still use paper bombs and kunai and shurikens, unlike the demigods that grow trees out of thin air and summon giant warriors from their eyes.

If him recognizing the details behind Onoki's jinton is a hint that the two have fought in the past(and it seems almost undeniable at this point that they did at some point, given the war between Konoha and Iwakagure, among other things), his hype as strongest of the Gokage from Kabuto could be proven as well.

It's Kishi's chance to give Hiruzen some validation. We'll see if he does it.

We will. now that hiruzen has info on obito he can display new jutsu to help battle him. We are being rewarded for a patience and are strong faith in hiruzen.

I believe he will. Now is the time for action, and now that he solely knows how juubito's jutsu works he will have to come back to fight it.

Even Orochimaru stated that if he were 10 years younger (live not edo) he wudda have taken him easily. We are talking about 3vs1 "God of Shinobi" (Hashirama along with his brother) and orochimaru, and yet oro got deafted.

Great job there didn't notice the analysing ability untill now.
