Debate Tourney/ Rules and Guidelines:
What this is:
This specific debate tournament is simply a tourney to, if a person wishes to further polish their debating skills. It accounts for your explanation as to why one character is able to defeat another. So no misunderstandings arise, all the characters are from Naruto, inasmuch, your argument should be grounded by the instances that have happened in that universe; speculation is tolerated but to an extent. Furthermore, the the tourney is intended to begin three-fours days from today.
Workings:
The tournament advises all participants to make detailed points or points worth accrediting: any flame or incoherence [particularly personal] will result in said person’s immediate removal from the tournament. In addition, to this, it is suggested that the participants formulate a number of posts that visibly illustrations your claims; these claims are highly advised to be marked by evidence: Manga-pages, links, quotes, Databook, etc.
For your own advancement; I’d recommend something simple: an opening post and a rebuttal. Remember, it is the debaters’ job to argue why their character is likening to win over their opponent, as such, you are expected to make a reasonably case holding your claims.
Team matches involving a number of debaters may happen as well. Furthermore, all specifications regarding rounds will be mentioned in the thread holding the match. Matches will be held at noon Eastern Time.
Rounds:
First Round:
This will be a typical a one versus one match, debaters are to present an argument signifying why their characters is likely to defeat the opponent’s; these characters will be selected by the judges. Furthermore, these characters will be roughly the same in ability: i.e. Kakashi vs. Itachi—Minato vs. Itachi.
Example:
Match 1: Deidara vs. Kakuzu
Location: Sannin Battlefield
Distance: 20m
State of Mind: Perfect Resolve/In Character
Knowledge: Manga
Restrictions: C0, and C4.
Second Round:
Same as the before; however debaters are allowed to choose their own character within reason: excludes Edo, Kabuto [Edo Tensei] Obito, Hashirama etc..
Third Round:
Losers of the before match can participant in third round matches. Though, this is only applicable with other loses from the previous round [second], they, at best, may earn a spot to compete in an unprecedented fourth match. This match is to determine the third place winner. The specifics of this third match are as followed:

Match 2: Ōnoki vs. Jiraiya
Location: Konoha Outskirts
Distance: 15m
State of Character: Perfect Resolve/In Character
Knowledge: Manga
Restrictions: —
Winners of the previous matches are the finalist of the tournament. Their third match entails a two versus two. Debaters are allowed to select the characters serve in turns: six characters will be presented, but obviously only four will be utilized in the match. The victor of this match is the winner of the tournament, the loser is the runner-up.

Match 3: *Kisame, Kakuzu, Danzō, Gaara, Orochimaru, and Darui [Six characters; four selected]*
Location: Blue Samurai Bridge
Distance: 25m
State of Character: Perfect Resolve/In Character
Knowledge: Manga
Restrictions: Kotoamatsukami, Edo Tensei.
Voting:
Unlike the majority of tournaments held here, matches will be held in versus thread section to allow debaters a more flexible space to fully improve their claims/posts. Comments are allowed in the respective thread until the debating starts and will not be allowed until after it ends: any comments formed during these times will be considered as spam.
Voting will be handled by a number of people: mostly by judges and a few by respectable members across the base. The voting will ultimately decide [as expected] the tournament’s set-up. All votes are required to have an explanation for the chosen. Judges will be assigned to matches once they are made. Three days are allowed for each round—two at the least, this allows participants the allotted time to format their posts if they wish: however debaters are not allowed to reconstruct their initial claiming; doing so will result in your upheaval in the tournament.
Placing:
Will likely be handled randomly; however to avoid an instance of top debaters constantly running each other; looks at previous posting contents may ensue.
A bracket will be placed once a minimal of 20-24 are active participants; note the word active. If you are not active during the first day of your match, [it’s advised to check in: as in messaging either a judge or another member to post your argument, that you have written] you will be removed from the tourney and another will take your place.
Prizes:
Premium Memberships will be given out to the three-top contestants.
