Appearance: Sentarō is a man of above average height and muscular build. He has light brown, but rough short hair. He has a distinguished scar under his left eye of a cross from a fight he had when he was a child. His standard outfit consists of a t-shirt with red and white horizontal stripes overlayed by a white shirt and black jacket, along with wearing a old-fashioned hat. He has dark brown eyes and always looks somewhat scrappy. Around his neck, Sentarō wears a rosary of Jashin owned by his late mother with his deep beliefs about it and never takes it off.
Personality: One thing that is noted about Sentarō is his love for Jazz music. He says things which are related to jazz which can include life morals, like how jazz is like real life and that it should always have swing. Sentarō also seems to be very fun and outgoing, being confident. Even if he get's roughed up in a fight he's capable of laughing it off and then going to play Jazz or something. Something else noted about Sentarō is that he speaks with a Kyushu dialect, often slurring some of his words when he speaks.
Sentarō is generally kindhearted to everyone and loves to lighten up the mood, but due to his past and the way he handles things everyone sees him as a ruffian, and tend to avoid him. You could say he's the epitome of the saying "don't judge a book by it's cover".

→ Background History
Sentarō was born in the Land of Iron, and he didn't particularly have a smooth life, shall I put it. His mother was a samurai with the squadrons they have and his father was working as something else which wasn't really disclosed on that much.His mother was once heard of as a woman of great pride. Sentarō's grandmother was visiting him one day only to burn pictures of her and saying she never had a daughter like this. What she had done in particular was go into a fight, seduce a rogue ninja and become impregnated with his child. Sentarō's father started to change then as well, losing his job and becoming a drunk who stayed at home all day. The only thing left of his mother was a rosary of Jashin, which was worn around his neck.
Sentarō, along with his brothers and sisters were all being looked after by his aunt who was also staying in the Land of Iron, while his father left for some unknown reason. He started to have a change in personality, becoming more distant from everyone and being more aggressive with people that would pick a fight with him.
Soon after at school he had met a girl known as Ritsuko; a nice girl who actually lived next door to him and were good classmates with. Sentarō met with her and her father who ran a records store and was also a samurai. One thing that stood out about Ritsuko's father was that he was really into Jazz music, and Sentarō hearing it for the first time, he fell in love with it. Her father saw a glimmer of light in him and decided to help him out whenever he could, with small samurai techniques and jazz.
Sentarō had really taken to the whole drumming scene of Jazz, utilizing it really well. Then an older man who at the time was in a chuunin level school and a good friend of Ritsuko's father had appeared, known as Junichi. His presence and ability to play Jazz was astounding to Sentarō and he was just starstruck I would say. Junichi was like a brother to him and Ritsuko, earning him the nickname of Jun-nii.
A few years later had passed and Sentarō was into the chuunin level of schooling alongside Ritsuko in which a new person was introduced to his life; Kaoru Nishimi. He was well defined, intelligent and had money, so he was given the nickname of "Richie" by Sentarō. Kaoru was more into classical music and wasn't really the fighter that Sentarō was, although he was introduced to Jazz music by yours truly and couldn't get the beat of Sentarō's drums out of his head. Kaoru was also great at playing the piano, so he learnt how to play more Jazz with Sentarō, Ritsuko's father and Junichi.

A few months had passed and he, Kaoru and Ritsuko went down to a nearby beach, well hidden within the land and not very well known for much except for boat hire. They landed on a beach where they met a girl being roughhoused around by some bullies. Sentarō decided to step in and help her, with them quivering in fear. This girl played a significant part in his life, with him seeing her with love at first sight. She was Yurika, a nice girl who was a year older than him and apparently went to the same school as him.
Not much had been happening which involved him heavily for a few years, but it was about the time he was 17 and he heard his father was coming home. He had remembered from when he was a small child that his father was a rough drunk, and didn't really want to see that again, so he was going to run away from it all only to be stopped by Kaoru Nishimi, his best friend who had sneaking suspicions about him. Sentarō had decided basically by Kaoru's will that he wouldn't leave.
Some time later, he and Kaoru were practicing some new techniques which would involve Ritsuko. When Kaoru left he had forgotten something, Sentarō offered to take it back to him, only to be nagged by his younger brother, Sachiko to take him with him due to an injured foot or something. On the path, some rogue ninja ambushed them, hospitalizing them both with Sachiko put into a coma. Sentarō had felt responsible, praying to the angels above to take his life instead of his younger sibling.
When Sachiko awoke from his coma, everyone was pleased, especially Kaoru who wondered where Sentarō had been. After looking around, Kaoru found his rosary on the doorknob which he had no idea what it meant. He took it to the local church of Jashin and asking the father what it meant. The father of the church had a close bond with Sentarō and told him about why he wore the rosary around his neck, and that he believed that if he lost it, he would cease to exist and be forever lost. Kaoru was deeply saddened by this; losing his best friend and just continuing to live life with the grief.
Not much is known about what happened to Sentarō after this, apart from running away from life and everyone who loved and cared about him. Only he knows where he was going, and that was Kirigakure. Armed with his samurai techniques learnt in the Land of Iron, he was ready to fight for his new country when he was accepted.

Abilities:Sentarō being a samurai has an everlasting love for jazz and the drums, living by a philosophy that life is like jazz and that it has it's ups and downs. He carries his drumsticks with him for good luck, although they serve no purpose in battle apart from just being entertaining. Alongside this, he carries four katana, two on each hip.
