Welcome to training, this is a brief on how this training with proceed. What will be given, and what is expected of you. This isn't complicated, pretty simple to understand.

Before posting, subscribe to the thread by clicking "thread tools" to the top right of this post and selecting subscribe. When you are subscribed, you can seee if I have posted by clicking your "UserCP".

Your reply should be no less than two sentences and it should be descriptive enough. I'm not a fan of wallies though, so please don't exceed 5 sentences for each technique. If something should prevent you from replying in training for the next 2 weeks, please inform me. With that out of the way, lets begin. Your first post should include an approved biography of your choice.

What is futon?
Futon is one of the five basic elemental nature transformations where a shinobi transforms his/her chakra's nature into wind. It is used mainly as a short to mid-range offensive techniques, which combines force and precision to deal cutting or slashing damage.

What is it strong against?
Strong against Raiton, since wind is an insulator.

What element is it weak to?
Weak against Katon.

Who are two users of Futon
Temari and Haku.

How is Wind created by shinobi?
Wind techniques are performed by making one's chakra as thin and sharp as possible and generating air circulation.

What is futon?

Channel your chakra into it.


The chakra paper reactions are as follows:
-Fire: the paper will ignite and turn to ash.
-Wind: the paper will split in two. (This is your aim)
-Lightning: the paper will wrinkle.
-Earth: the paper will turn to dirt and crumble away.
-Water: the paper will become wet/damp.

(Fūton: Fūsajin no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Dust Wind Technique

Description: The user creates a gust of wind that layers an area in loose sand and dust. Doing so also acts as a sandblaster on the surrounding area. This layer of sand that accumulates on the trees during this technique makes it difficult for others to get a good footing. The initial gust can also temporarily blind opponents by lodging sand in their eyes

Release a gust of wind, this gust will create an rise in dust, this is good to distract the enemy.

I concentrate on gathering chakra and then channel the chakra to my hands. I change the chakra nature to wind and then use shape manipulation to create a gust, which disturbs the sand and dust in the area around me.

Disadvantage; only effective if opponent is within close range.

(Fūton: Sensougouheki) - Wind Release: Rumbling wind wall

Description: User creates a wall of spinning wind in front of him that is used to push back weapons thrown towards him. It can also be used against taijutsu close range attacks, but the wall can be pushed back with a stronger wind jutsu or if a smoke bomb or explosive tag touches the spinning wind they will automatically get activated because of the sharpness of the wind element, damaging the user also.

How to perform technique: I gather a decent amount of chakra, channel it to my hands, change the nature of the chakra to wind chakra and release it without manipulating the shape - creating a wall of spinning wind infront of me.
Advantage: Can be used to deflect thrown weapons and block Taijutsu attacks at close range.
Disadvantage: If the opponent uses a Fire technique, the wall will strengthen the fire and cause damage to the user, same happens with explosive tags.

(Fūton: Kaze Ogawa no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Wind Stream Technique

Description: This technique allows the user to change direction in mid-air at high speeds by simply blowing wind out their mouth. The user can also use this technique by blowing it at the ground and causing a dust cloud to rise, concealing the users location and movement.

How to perform technique: I gather a decent amount of chakra, channel it to my mouth and jump into the air. Whilst in the air, I change the chakra nature to wind and exhale, aiming towards the ground, which causes me to change direction in the air.
Advantage: Can be used to dodge attacks aimed at you while you are airborne and can also hide your moves from an opponent when used to create a dust cloud.
Disadvantage: Purely a defensive move, can be pushed back with a higher rank wind technique.

(Fūton: Reppūshō) - Wind Release: Gale Palm

Description: A simple technique that when the users hands are clapped together, wind is compressed and transformed into a powerful gale. This technique, when used as an isolated attack has the power to easily knock over a human. Though the true value comes from using it together with projectile weapons like shuriken or kunai. Their speed, power, and ability to wound or even kill are all increased several times.

How to perform technique: I gather a decent amount of chakra, channel it to my hands and release the chakra as wind chakra. Whilst releasing the chakra, I clap my hands together, which causes the wind chakra to be compressed and the shape to transform into a gale.
Advantage: Increases the power, speed and the wounding or killing ability of thrown weapons or can throw an opponent back.
Disadvantage: Only effective over short range, not really effective without the use of a weapon.
User: Nagato

(Fūton: Kaiten Shuriken) - Wind Release: Rotating Shuriken

Description: This technique will infuse wind-based chakra into bladed weapons. The user can than manipulate the blades in a spinning manner to attack the target.

How to perform technique: I gather a decent amount of chakra, channel it to my hands, change the nature to wind and run the wind chakra through a bladed weapon.
Advantage: Increases the cutting power of bladed weapons and enables the user to manipulate the path of thrown infused weapons.
Disadvantage: Weapons can be easily blocked or dodged.

(Fūton: Daitoppa) - Wind Release: Great Break Through

Description: This is a relatively simple technique that when the user performs the following hand seals Tiger → Ox → Dog → Rabbit → Snake they create a sudden gust of wind, but its scale varies greatly depending on the user. If used by a superior shinobi, it has enough destructive power to knock down a large tree. The wind from the squall can blow away all things in the user's line of sight. A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame.

How to perform techniqe: I gather a decent amount of chakra, perform the hand seals Tiger → Ox → Dog → Rabbit → Snake, channel the chakra to my mouth, change it to wind chakra and release it, blowing back everything in the line of my sight.
Advantage: Can be used to blow an opponent back
Disadvantage: Not as powerful when used by a low rank shinobi.
User: Gaara

Once the chakra is concentrated in my lungs, I focus even harder to transform the nature to wind, by making the chakra very thin and sharp. When the chakra is as thin and sharp as possible, I release the wind chakra through my mouth and I manipulate the shape to form a sphere, which blows back everything short-mid distance from me.
Advantage: Since the enemy is blown backwards, the user increases the distance between them and longer ranged jutsus can be used.

I gather enough chakra and channel it via my chakra network throughout my whole body. Once the chakra is concentrated at every release point in my body, I change the chakra nature to wind and then release it whilst manipulating the shape; first into a gust and then unto several small tornadoes. Unfortunately I'm not able to use Katon yet.
