Name: Ryuunosuke Heisa (閉鎖 龍之介, Heisa Ryūnosuke)
Nickname: Ryuu-kun
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Clan: /
Looks: Over the years, Ryuunosuke's appearance has changed quite drastically. As of growing up as a fine shinobi, he appeared short, weak and somewhat fragile, nothing like he is now. He had jet-black hair which parts to the left, unkempt like it was normal for a kid of his age, and pale skin. He was more the typical kid who didn't like wearing much; white tank top, plain coloured shorts with only a couple pockets and sneakers. Due to his weak and fragile look though, he was more prone to accidents which went away over the years as he grew older and more immune. He wears a white bandage on the right side of his chin, a place which was common for him to get hurt.
Nowadays in his older age and status within his village of Kirigakure, Ryuunosuke has become much more grown up than what he used to be. His image has changed drastically from when he was a kid, appearing as the big, more muscled up guy from years of working out. His hair remained roughly the same length as it always has, and remained unkempt like akways, except he now has a bit of a beard growing around his face, cleanly cut most of the time like it were a 5 o'clock shadow. Ryuunosuke's eyes glimmer with a tinge of green, and his skin is much more tan than what it used to be when he was a kid. It should be noted that he grew much later in life; hitting his growth spurt towards when he was 18.
When on missions and working for his village, he wears a standard issue shinobi flak-jacket in a blue colour, representing his village, filled with all sorts of tools and scrolls for him to use at his disposal. Due to his larger size, he wears it open for comfort. Underneath he wears a plain t-shirt with nothing special about it other than the fact that it's navy blue, and standard issue shinobi trousers. It's never been noted that he wears a village forehead protector, but rather has the symbol of Kirigakure tattooed on his right bicep. On days off, they transpose to something similar to his childhood: an incredibly loose white t-shirt to suit his size, and casual shorts along with open-toe sandals. As an adult, he retains the bandage on the right side of his chin from when he was a kid.
Personality: By nature, Ryuunosuke would seem like a thug type of person who would be intimidating, but he is more seen as a happy-go-lucky person. Cheerful, caring for others, someone who really treasures friendships forged with him. He tries his hardest to keep a cheerful disposition at all times, even in the midst of a fight. Although in a fight he becomes a tad more serious depending on the outcome. The thrill of a fight excites him, he's more one to fight for the sake of doing so and getting stronger rather than for the sake of outburst or something similar. He's won the heart of many people just because of him being a nice guy and is considered quite charismatic. Though he is like this, he isn't exactly used to compliments and gets embarassed slightly from them.
This is a mask, or facade of what Ryuunosuke is really like. While is is generally happy and cheerful all the time, what lies beneath the hard exterior is a more, personal side to himself, in more ways than you can imagine. When he was younger, he seemed to have possessed a slight talent for the art of puppetry, something which was frowned upon in this time. It's uncertain for what it was for, but most people in the Heisa family grew up becoming strong fighters and as such were quite built or athletic. Considering Ryuunosuke didn't show any signs of this in his academy years, he took it upon himself to learn a unique skill which would suit both his petite size and something cool. However "dolls" weren't seen as something used for strength, and he was shunned by people; mostly relatives for taking interest in such an art. He absolutely despises looking back on his past just for that sake. He's grown putting on this muscle mass and mask of being happy all the time in order to please those around him. Of course becoming the model figure his family wanted, he was adourned for it, but it wasn't something he particularly enjoyed.
Because of this, Ryuunosuke lacks the human intimacy that he so craves. One of his many goals in life is to find people, comrades who will accept him for who he truly is, without the need of hiding anything. He's constantly searching for people that he can rely on and confide in without fear or remorse, for he really treasures friendships and bonds created. That could possibly be one of the reasons he uses puppets as a main weapon, because of the lack of a real family or person to rely on, he uses these dolls as a means of pseudo-interaction. He finds it hard to open up completely to people because of his past, and will generally use the mental charade of his happy-go-lucky self in order to speak with people.
Ryuunosuke as a shinobi would be by nature required to kill people for the sake of the mission. While he's opposed to killing people, he will do it out of ruling by the Mizukage. Being the first people to really respect his decisions and choices in life, he owes pretty much his life for the village he's in and is indebted to him. Though for personal missions and so forth, he prefers to immobilize people instead of killing them. On the rare chance someone's able to piss him off which would be easy if they were to insult something he's incredibly passionate about like his Mizukage or the art he's taken an interest in, he takes a much more serious tone than usual, the aura of his killing intent goes through the roof, and he makes a promise to kill that person. When going through the process of officially becoming a Kiri ninja, one of his relatives insulted the Mizukage directly, in which Ryuunosuke pretty much pinned him down holding a knife to his neck. He had to be forced off of him.
He doesn't like to remember that moment.

Background Info:
History: The Heisa family. They weren't prosperous in any way at all, nor were they poor or anything. If anything, they were more renowned for their superior strength, determination and athleticism in the Mist Village. "Heisa" means closed off, and as such they were more secluded from the main confines of the village, and more conected to the Land of Fire, though are politically a part of Kirigakure. Because of this, the family would have their own farm to grow produce and crops, while exporting stuff they didn't need to nearby towns and getting other produce such as meat in return. The men were required to perform a lot of the heavy labor stuff (which counted as a part of their training and "beefing up") while the women were to take care of the household and cooking.
Ryuunosuke was the third son of three children in the Heisa family, and as such had the greatest of expectations placed upon him. Generally in most cases it would be the first son who would be the one to become the leader of an organization or head of a family, however the Heisa family was different; it was foretold that this generation which he was born, the third son would be expected of great things, and was considered to be a blessing amongst the family. For this very reason, he was given the name "Ryuunosuke" in relation to the urban myth of the dragon, and that someday he would become as strong as them.
However this wasn't the case. In his younger years, Ryuunosuke was much weaker than anticipated, always getting cuts and bruises as a kid, not being the strong type that his family was renowned for. He wasn't exactly bullied or anything as a child, just more prone to accidents due to his weaker stature.
Training was rough as a kid, the family had expected greater of him due to the fortune he was bestowed upon, though found it hard to live up to the expectations due to himself being more accident prone. His parents, more so his father was strict with him, moreso than he was with Daichi and Suguru more because they already had discipline trained into them; but for Ryuunosuke it was different.
His childhood consisted of training, helping out with the labor activities around the house and sleeping, there wasn't really much time for playing around when it came to him. There was little room for free time as he who didn't know at the time had to train to become the next successor to the Heisa household. Ryuunosuke would be held to the same regiment as his older brothers, despite the age gap between the three of them.
Of course, as a strong family the bonds would need to be strong together as well, thus happened the group training where the three sons would train together. With Ryuunosuke's size and age at the time, it would tend to be quite an annoyance to wait for him, especially the second son, Suguru, known for his hot temper. He'd say things like "Ryuu, you're way too slow with this, toughen up, would ya?!" It didn't exactly work any wonders on his morale, even if Suguru meant well in wanting to advance forward as a family rather than wanting to get stronger purely for himself.
One time when he was younger was when he stumbled upon the gift of the puppeteer. Ryuunosuke was simply doing the laborous activities he was set to, just casually working hard in order to live up to his family's name, with little to no progress. It wasn't rare for the odd newspaper to wind up just thrown out by their father who would sometimes read it just to keep up with the world.
It was just lying there, in the farmland.
Ryuunosuke picked it up, just casually flicking through it. It should be noted he had quite an appetite for historical shinobi; someone to look up to. It was something else rather prideful to them, finding a true role model in the world and aspiring for their own goals. The Heisa family were proud of their determination, if these regular shinobi could do it, so could they. Just gazing at the specific newspaper clipping, there was something interesting to say the least. It was specifically an article about Monzaemon Chikamatsu, the shinobi from Sunagakure who had supposedly created the Puppetry Technique. It also went on about the brigade he created, the Ten Puppet Collection of Chikamatsu said to be strong enough that in the right hands could take down a castle alone. Now being a part of this specific family family, Ryuunosuke prided strength over all else, even if it was a rather unorthodox of their meaning of the word.
It was rather obvious what happened next, he took a severe interest in it and decided to research it to the best of his ability using the limited resources he had access to. Being in his family, he didn't have much to use since they weren't exactly part of the mainland. Still, they learnt the fundamentals of the life of a shinobi, chakra control and their natural affinity and so on. They just didn't attend a ninja academy or follow their guidelines of Genin, Chunin etc.
Around the time Ryuunosuke was roughly eleven years old, a rather dark moment happened within the family, and somehow turned out to be beneficial to everyone!
Suguru, the second son along with Daichi for backup went to speak to their father about the training regiments they were going under. Due to Ryuunosuke's new found forbidden love for the art of puppets, it was quite evident to Suguru that he wasn't exactly putting all of his undivided attention into their training regiment, and it showed. Everyone was slowing down, Ryuunosuke was practicing awkward finger movements which would only really apply to someone learning the art, and just being slow in general.
Suguru was starting to get pissed off with the attitude his younger brother was portraying, but didn't really want to bring it up to him personally.
A few days later, Ryuunosuke was called to his father's quarters regarding the incidents of their training. He was let known of what had been happening with Suguru's complaints and was decided that he take a specialised training course on his own. A seperate line for him in order to become the next head of the Heisa family.
Of course this was unknown to him.
This gave him much more free time, to work on his newly found interest, making the puppets and perfecting the basic techniques.
A few years later, roughly when Ryuunosuke was fourteen, both Daichi and Suguru were model shinobi in the Heisa family, and were strong to represent them with their athleticism. Everyone was proud of their achievements.
Ryuunosuke on the other hand, wasn't exactly training as much as he should have been, it was at this point in his life that he was close to mastering his technique, and wanted to show it off; it was an art form after all.
He was just sitting there in his room, tinkering with one of the puppets he had made, working on the finishing touches. His father walked in on him doing so, and while he wasn't blossoming with fury, he was pretty mad that he was slacking off from his family duties in order to work on this hobby.
But to Ryuunosuke, it wasn't a hobby, it was a passion - his own form of art. Being able to sculpt these puppets perfectly and to be able to use them in battle efficiently was his own meaning of the word "strong". Monzaemon Chikamatsu had truly inspired him to become his own man in the family, representing something he truly loved.
But it wasn't all fine and dandy. Because of this, his father and brothers were under orders of neglection towards Ryuunosuke, not to talk to him until he needed them himself. But it wasn't ever like that. Ryuunosuke was given the free time he wanted to work on his art, even starting work on a second masterpiece and didn't mind being alone, so long as he had his creations. He was fed on a regular basis with their special diet in order to become physically strong which at the time he was smaller than his brothers when they were his age, still did the laborous activities around the household when they were needed, but everything else was just neglected. He had no family to rely on, no real human contact either - it took a toll on his life.
Ryuunosuke started to develop some habits, treating his puppets like real people to talk to.
His weaker size meant some of the chores he had to do were a lot tougher at this time. While his brothers could handle them easily, due to their regiment and lifestyle it came more difficult to the younger Heisa. Sixteen years of age is when this really started to happen, still neglected by his father and brothers, it was painstaking. Just using the puppets as people to talk to, he started having other thoughts about life, if his art was truly frowned upon as a whole, and just contemplating whether he should try to make amends with his family. Ryuunosuke would spend nights in a certain state of depression from lack of human intimacy, it was painful to watch. Puppets would hold small notes in them with his feelings like he was really communicating to them, while it was sweet, it was horrendous to watch.
To go through your teenage years alone, neglected, ashamed of...
One year later, Ryuunosuke had enough of the lifestyle he was living, and that he would start to bulk up like his brothers did around his age. He knew it wasn't going to be easy, but he had to win the approval of his father somehow.
But there was another incident brewing. Daichi in particular was worried more for his own concern and well-being for the family rather than his youngest brother. It wasn't known how, but he had heard about how Ryuunosuke was going to be the next in line for the family instead of him. Just at how hard he was worked and how much he loved the family as well as being the first born son, it felt like betrayal. "Father, you have to do something about this outcast!" Daichi would say in a rather aggressive tone. He wasn't happy, and he had reason not to be. Clearly he was the better choice for the head of the family, and it felt like competition. Their father knew he had to do something to end these conflicted feelings Daichi had. He was like the boy had no sense for upholding the family traditions of the Heisa.
His father demanded his name as he barged into his room. It was at this point Ryuunosuke was taking charge of his life to uphold the legacy his family wanted, but it was too late... His father threw him a large bag for clothes and so on. Just from the gesture alone, he was being forced out of his own home at seventeen years of age, such a terribe time for him to get kicked out. He was just trying to get his life back together as well.
So he was ordered to leave the home, puppets and everything in hand as he set for somewhere else. Knowing there really wasn't much else to go, he headed for the place he knew where he might have been accepted for his family was a part of it's nation: Kirigakure.
It took a while, but Ryuunosuke was able to get settled with his own place in Kirigakure, not completely enlisted as a shinobior anything though. But something funny, he finally hit his growth spurt! Nowadays he would stand quite tall, slightly taller than his older brothers, but was still fairly weak compared to them.
But now the whole ordeal of "weakness" was starting to take toll on him, he wanted to be stronger for himself, and his family - to work for their approval. In order to earn it though, he would need to spend his time in the secluded world he lived in, training for their sakes. The meaning of the Heisa family after was seclusion, or closed off from society. He would have to replicate these conditions in order to get the expected result. This further increased his need for humon contact, and thus the devotion towards his puppets had increased. Sure it sounds creepy, but there wasn't much he could really do.
It took some time and years of training, but by the time he was twenty-three years of age, he finally had reached the stage he had desired - the true spirit of the Heisa family. He had grown to the stage of what was expected, but he was more considered in the "stronger" side instead of being athletic. One thing for sure was he showed determination towards achieving this result.
Ryuunosuke had just turned twenty-four, and receiving a letter from his father and two brothers. It was brief, but it mentioned that they wanted to see him again, hearing about all the hard work he had put into himself.
It was finally happening, the recognition he wanted and deserved all these years, something he had been working on for an incredibly long time was finally coming into fruition.
Upon arriving at home, he was greeted with welcome arms and the works, a brief party celebrating his successes and return. Suguru rushed up with a huge hug having not seen his brother in such a long time, just to see how much he has changed, being taller than him. Daichi just smiled with compassion, there wasn't really words to describe the emotion in this event, everyone was just happy. Firm handshakes were traded between his father and Daichi also. Basically the visit was boiled down for Ryuunosuke to come back home and take over the family as was meant to be.
His time alone taught him a valuable lesson, what it really means to rely on one's self and his true ambitions. Something about running an honorable family didn't really click for him or anything, it would be unfair to everyone else - especially Daichi who wanted this in the first place. Surprisingly though, he was the one who suggested he take over the family as the head which was strange. The things he learnt on his own, what it means for a true shinobi to show off their own skill and protect their country, that's what he really got out of the experience, not working for their approval. Still, it was nice to know they still cared for him after all these years.
Ryuunosuke kindly declined the offer to take over, and suggested Daichi should do so instead, as it was originally intended. He headed back to Kirigakure's mainland where he would sign up to be a shinobi, knowing his true passion was his art form of puppetry and serving the village instead of something he didn't want. It was selfish, but this way everyone got what they wanted.
With all that out of the way, he was a fully-fledged shinobi, taking on the standard uniform of a navy-blue flak jacket and other things to hold weapons and such in.
He has two older brothers who in his younger age are far stronger than him: Daichi the first son and Suguru the second. Daichi was more refined than his younger two brothers, stood strong against foes, loyal to his family and respects his duties as the first son of the Heisa household. He is, or was to be the next in line to take over the Heisa household, and has been training for the day when that will happen. I'm sure if the household wasn't so secluded from the rest of society, he'd be pretty popular with the ladies as well. Daichi is eight years older than Ryuunosuke, but due to the obscure life Ryuunosuke was brought up in, Daichi tends to look down on him.
The second was Suguru, and only six years older than Ryuunosuke. He was still refined like the eldest Daichi, but was a little more hot-headed and rather impatient. This could be due to the upbringing he had and refused to accept life as the second son. When training together with his brothers, Suguru would often get annoyed with his younger brother for not working as hard as him or something similar to that extent. He wants to be the best he can become, and likewise wants to see that in people as well. He enjoys pushing people forward if it means there's something in it for him.
