Yamamoto has the appearance of an old man with brown eyes, a very long white beard, and long eyebrows. There are many scars on his torso and head, the two most prominent being a pair of long, perpendicular scars above his right eye. He wears the standard Shinigami uniform, but its size is greatly exaggerated. He drapes his haori over his back instead of actually wearing it. Despite his old and frail appearance, he has a very muscular body which he only reveals when he goes to battle.

Yamamoto is not a man to tolerate insubordination, and is vocal with those who attempt to act in such a manner. He is quick to anger in the face of possible betrayal and can be quite aggressive in combat. He has a habit of referring to those he faces in battle as youngsters, and he refers to a battle as a "beating" or "punishment". When in a state of peace, he carries himself with an air of frailty. Due to years of experience, Yamamoto very rarely shows any sign of distress or surprise, usually responding by opening one or both of his eyes, which are partially closed slits for the majority of the time. His loyalty is so great, he is willing to sacrifice himself for the lives of others.

Humble Beginnings:
Yamamoto was born of humble raising within the Village Hidden in Sand. He had a loving father and loving mother that worked hard to raise him with strong ideals. They were Council heads of the village, making serious decisions for the betterment of the village. At the same time, Yamamoto was training to follow in their footsteps. When training at the Ninja Academy,it was obvious that there was something that differentiated him from the others. He had great control over the fire and wind elements. Realizing that Yamamoto's parents had the same ability, the sensei's characterized this ability as the Shakuton Kekkai Genkai. Not only was this something that spread him apart from the other students, he also had a very calm yet respectable demeanor. At the age of eight Yamamoto graduated from the Ninja Academy at the top of his class.
Peace Comes to an End:
After graduating from the ninja academy, Yamamoto spent his time studying for the Chunnin Exams and observing his parents doing their day to day routines. Yamamoto was fascinated by this, and he promised that he would follow his parents footsteps. One day, Yamamoto came back from his friends house and noticed that his front door was left wide open. Rushing to the door, Yamamoto reached the living room just in time to see his parents' necks sliced by Leaf assassins. In a fit of rage, Yamamoto's Scorch techniques became uncontrollable, and as the Leaf ninja rushed at him, they were met by floating orbs of scorch that dehydrated their bodies completely, leaving them a crumbled mess. But it didn't end there, after killing the assassins, Yamamoto couldn't control his self, and eventually his Scorch techniques became so uncontrollable that the house started to melt from the amount of heat released from the technique. Because Yamamoto hadn't trained heavily in his KG, he eventually passed out onto the floor. Waking up a few days later in the Sunagakure hospital, the Council members tried best to explain to him what happened. Yamamoto knew that his parents made the important decision involving the village, but what he didn't know is that they were hours away from launching a full scale attack on the Village Hidden in Leaf. He understood why the assassins killed his parents, to protect their village, but what confused Yamamoto was why hate and violence had to be present in "life". After getting over the fact that his parents could not be revived, Yamamoto wept for a few days, then continued training, hoping to fulfill his dream of joining the council and becoming the one to bring peace to his village.
Squad 5:
Yamamoto was determined to become strong to get put on the Council of Sunagakure. Preparing for the Chunnin exams, he was put onto a team of two fellow genin and a sensei. His squad was composed of Gutsy Jiraiya, and Ezio.. led by Sensei Toshiyuki. This was a very well put together team, each individual working together to make each other stronger. After hard training together, the trio passed the Chunnin exams easily. Afetr passing the exams, Yamamoto slowly started to fade from his friendship with Gutsy Jiraiya, but his relationship with Ezio.. was to the point that they could call each other brother. Training hard, Yamamoto tried his best to strengthen his jutsu, but it seemed as though all of his sensei became inactive or retired. Toshiyuki retired a few months after training his pupils to pass the Chunnin exams. Finding a new sensei was hard for Yamamoto, as most of the ninjas were out fighting in the 2nd Great Shinobi war. But Yamamoto eventually found a teacher to teach him Katon. His name was McRazor. He was a good sensei teaching him the importance of Katon in a ninjas' repertoire and training him extensively in the art of fire. At about the same time, he found a Sensei that would teach him Earth. This man was named Adachi . With this teacher, Yamamoto made tons of mud castles and learned alot. Unfortunately, he became inactive as a sensei and Yamamoto was left to find another teacher to show him the way. After finding respected teachers for Water and Wind, all that Yamamoto needed was a Lightning sensei. After search high and low through the lands, Yamamoto found a man named Nathan. He was a peculiar fellow that liked to cover his face with grotesque and odd images (some of those avatars scared me). But other than the mans odd demeanor, he taught Yamamoto well. After recieving more than basic skill in all of the elemental nature, Yamamoto was at the hardened age of 55, yet was still as strong has his youth of 29.

Dreams do Come True:
One day in the village, Yamamoto was sent a message stating to meet at the council hall. Confused by what this could mean, Yamamoto rushed out of his house and went into the hall. Within the darkness was the faint light of torches further withing the hall. Reaching the torches, Yamamoto was met by a group of 3-4 hooded individuals.
"What is the meaning of this, who are you", asked Yamamoto.
Chiyo removes her hood
"We have been observing you Yamamoto, and we are impressed by the feats you have shown to us.", replied Chiyo. "We are requesting your assistance in overlooking the village, we want you to become a Council member."
Yamamoto's heart raced, this was his dream, even-more so, this was his promise he made to his parents. After accepting the position, Yamamoto was involved in day to day decisions. However, one day their was a proposal brought up to attack the Leaf again. Yamamoto, trying to sway the other into not doing so was unsuccessful in his plight. Because of this, Yamamoto left the Council and the Village. He knew that if he couldn't make an impact on the Council, he wouldn't be able to bring peace to the world. He left the village and moved to Kirigakure, even though he wasn't in a position of power, he loved the calm air and the mist.
Life in Kirigakure:
After arriving in Kiriagkure, Yamamoto was at the age of 98,but was still in his peak condition. Through out his time in Kiri, Yamamoto met new friends and made new experiences in his life. He couldn't day that it was as conformable as his previous home initially, but he came to like it. At this time, Yamamoto hadn't finished his elemental trainings. One day he came across an Academy, called the Phantom Academy, led by Headmaster Reborn . Within a few days after registering the Academy disappeared, but he met his teachers on separate occasions. First was the aggressive Earth teacher Lee. Next was the calm and methodical Nekana that is training him in Genjutsu, and lastly was the training duo of Sanji Hayabusa and Momiji that are teaching him ninjutsu. The saying "You can't teach a old dog new tricks" as been refuted by Yamamoto's internal fire and inner strength that pushes him to learn all he can
