Welcome to training, this is a brief on how this training with proceed. What will be given, and what is expected of you. This isn't complicated, pretty simple to understand.

Before posting, subscribe to the thread by clicking "thread tools" to the top right of this post and selecting subscribe. When you are subscribed, you can see if I have posted by clicking your "UserCP".

When I post the jutsu, check inside the spoiler for pictures if any.
Your reply should be no less than two sentences and it should be descriptive enough. I'm not a fan of wallies though, so please don't exceed 5 sentences for each technique. If something should prevent you from replying in training for the next 2 weeks, please inform me. With that out of the way, lets begin. Your first post should include an approved biography of your choice.

Welcome to Training. So, tell me what is Earth Release, two users of Earth Release, two Earth Release Techniques and why you want to learn Earth.

What is Earth Release?
Earth Release is one of the five basic elemental chakra transformations. It grants the user the power to manipulate the surrounding earth for offensive or defensive purposes, as well as allowing him to create earth by molding his chakra. I can also be used to modify the density of earth giving the user the ability to travel through it.

Two users:
Ōnoki and Deidara

Two Earth Release techniques:
(Doton: Iwa Enchou no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Dome Technique
(Doton: Doryū Taiga) - Earth Release: Earth Flow River

Why I want to learn it:
I want to learn Earth Release because it is so versatile. It would give me the possibility to modify the landscape of the battlefield to my own advantage. Earth release has strong defensive techniques, as well as jutsus that dirstract the opponent or attack him. So it can serve a lot of purposes that I can combine with my fighting style, also ginving me more possibilities to react to my opponents moves.

Alright, before we begin. Take this small test. I want you to channel your chakra into this piece of paper. *Hands it to you*

The chakra paper reactions are as follows:
-Fire: the paper will ignite and turn to ash.
-Wind: the paper will split in two.
-Lightning: the paper will wrinkle.
-Earth: the paper will turn to dirt and crumble away.(This is your aim)
-Water: the paper will become wet/damp.

*I take the piece of paper from you, hold it between my palms and focus my chakra. Then I channel it through my arms and hands into the paper. As nothing happens I concentrate harder and add more chakra until it first turns brown, then turns into dirt and starts crumbling.*

Perfect, one last thing, briefly tell me what you know about chakra.

In order to perform any sort of jutsu, Shinobi have to use chakra. That means they have to combine their physical energy with their spiritual energy, which are the two elements chakra consists of. After this process the molded chakra can be channeled throughout the body to the chakra points, allowing the user to release it in form of a jutsu by using shape manipulation and/or nature transformation.

So here we are, the first Earth Technique for you to learn. This is the most basic Earth jutsu there is, yet it can be used in a multitude of ways and serves various purposes, be it offensive, defensive or supplementary. What this technique does, is allows a shinobi to create objects of earth. This technique is most commonly used to create Earth pillars.

(Doton No Jutsu) - Earth Release Technique

Descripton: Creates small pillars of earth, small tools, and small shields of earth

Gather a portion of your Doton chakra. Once the chakra is gathered, channel it through your chakra network/Chakra Circulatory System, and into the existing earth below you. Now, this is your chakra, and you have control over it. With chakra and Nature manipulation, use the chakra to control the already existing earth. Once you have control over the Earth, change it's shape to make a small object of earth. This object should be a pillar. Make it rise 3 meters above ground.

*I gather doton chakra inside my stomach. When I think I've gathered enough ckakra, I proceed by channeling it through my chakra network into the earth below me. Then I gain control of the earth and start using shape manipulation. I channel more of my gathered doton chakra into the earth and finally I cause a pillar to rise three meters above the ground.

Good, good. How would you use this technique in a battle?

I can imagine three ways to use this jutsu.
One would be to create a pillar underneath me. When my opponent releases a jutsu towards me I would simply rise together with the pillar and I won't be hit. Being three meters above the ground would give me advantages like a good view of the battlefield or the gravity, supporting taijutsu techniques.
The second is to create a shield of eath to defend against jutsus.
The third way would be to create small tools of earth that can be used to attack my opponent.

Moving on to the next Earth jutsu. This technique was shown to be used by Kakashi, during the Bell Test of Team 7 where he restrained Sasuke. It's a good and handy technique for the Ninja World, not so sure about a battle though, I doubt an opponent would sit still in such a technique and allow you to torture him/her. (Doton: Shinju Zanshu no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique

Description: The user, emerging from the ground below the target area, pulls down the opponent so that only their head is above ground. Unable to move, the opponent can easily be decapitated or tortured.

Alright, this technique allows you to restrain the opponent by pulling him/her underground, however, it doesn't allow you to go underground. In other words, in order to use this technique, you must first be underground. So all at once, I'll teach you the Earth technique you can use to go underground, it's a C Rank technique, meaning you'll have to use more chakra, (Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique.

(Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique

Description: The user changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. While underground one can sense what is happening on the surface and use the information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. Once can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy cant reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.

So yeah, the first step is to go underground. Gather a portion of your Earth chakra and channel it throughout your chakra network. Manipulate the chakra so that it coats your body. Once your body is coated in chakra, submerge into the earth below by using the chakra coating you to convert the earth at your area into fine sand. With this technique you can sense what's taking place on the Earth's surface and the location off persons. Detect the location of my clone, then proceed with the technique Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique, by grabbing his leg and pulling him into the ground, leaving only his head exposed, while you come up.

I move towards your clone until I am beneath him, then grab his leg and pull him into the ground, leaving only his head exposed above the ground. While doing this, I rise out of the earth.*

This is a supplementary technique which requires Nature Manipulation. One can transform a rock into a staff, then use it for various purposes, including offensive.

(Doton: Gansetsukon) - Earth Release: Rock Section Cane

Description: This technique allows the user to take a small chunk of rock and turn it into the shape of a staff. The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

Alright, take up a small rock from the ground and take a good feel of it. Take note of it's features and texture. I then want you to channel gathered chakra through your chakra network, your arm, and into the rock. Once the rock is filled with your chakra, begin Nature Manipulating, Use the chakra to change the shape and characteristics of the rock, make it extend in length to create a staff. This Earth staff can even deflect certain projectiles such as regular kunai or shuriken. It's good for piercing through someone as well.

Allthough the rock is quite small it is heavy, due to a high density, it is almost round and it has a plain surface. I proceed to channel my gathered chakra through my arm and hand into the stone and use nature manipulation. I am now able to chnge the shape of the rock and cause it to extend in length until I hold a perfectly shaped staff in my hand.*

Allthough the rock is quite small it is heavy, due to a high density, it is almost round and it has a plain surface. I proceed to channel my gathered chakra through my arm and hand into the stone and use nature manipulation. I am now able to chnge the shape of the rock and cause it to extend in length until I hold a perfectly shaped staff in my hand.*

Now, lets test it's piercing ability. There's a bird above you, let's make it dinner.

Ha, allright!

*I hold the staff firmly in my right hand and move it above my shoulder, next to my head. I follow the bird with my eyes, until i think I aim at it properly. Then I throw the staff with a quick but controlled move of my arm and watch it fly. The staff pierces the bird easily and causes it to fall down to ground next to me.*
