Sol's design depicts him as left-handed, with brown hair and reddish-brown or golden eyes with slit pupils, wearing a tight, black undershirt with the top half covered by a red, sleeveless jacket along and white jeans. His headband bears the words 'Rock You', a reference to the Queen song "We Will Rock You", while his belt buckle has the word 'FREE', a possible reference to Queen's song "I Want To Break Free". Sol also sports a pair of black, fingerless gloves, red shoes, a drape of red cloth hanging down beneath his buckle and a multitude of belts, including a lone one on his left bicep. Sol fights using a blunt, rectangular sword known as Junkyard Dog MKIII through which he releases a range of fire-based attacks.
Personality:
Sullen and unrefined, Sol only speaks to others when absolutely necessary. This is reflected in everything he does, and his fighting moves, while rough and unpolished, are executed with absolute precision. He is known to be rude and impatient towards those who wish to interact with him, whether they are friend or foe. He is also quite stubborn when he is in pursuit of a goal or when he decides to take action regarding certain matters, never allowing the opinions of others to dissuade him once he's made up his mind. Overall, Sol is not a friendly man, but he is not an inherently evil one neither. He is an individual who prefers to convey his intent through actions than words. And while he cynically mocks those who speak of "justice", he has demonstrated a staunch sense of righteousness that motivates him to prevent anything that may potentially threaten the world and the peace that's been established after the horror of the Third Ninja War.

At first glance, he is an aloof, anti-hero bounty hunter, whose apparent laziness and gruffness belies his terrifying fighting ability, and the amazing genius and emotional depths beneath that brash exterior.
History:
The Guilty Gear
His exact history is unclear, but it is known for certain that Sol's real name is Frederick. Originally, he was a scientist who was previously working on a project known as Saint Oratorio before he joined the core team of the Gear Project. Given special orders by the 2nd Mizukage to complete the project post-haste, the Gear Project was instigated by the top scientists of the nation. The purpose of the project was to advance evolution and to strengthen the ninja of the Hidden Mist Village. However, the scope of the project is unknown, and many of its details remain a mystery.As Frederick, worked with other scientist on the Gear Project, he also created the "Outrage", which he called a supreme Anti-Ninja weapon. The Outrage was actually not one weapon but several - eight components called "Jinki" (God Weapons), which greatly amplify their wielders' ninjutsu ability. Sol split the Outrage into these fragments due to the fact that its full form generated too much power for himself to control. From this, Frederick was able to forge a weapon that suited him called the Fireseal. At some point after the creation of the project, the first Gear was created with Frederick as the prototype. Shortly after this incident, he escaped the laboratory, and the rest of the team disappeared shortly after. It is unknown whether Frederick's Gear conversion was voluntary or not, but after the incident, the project stopped.
The Temple of Ambition
After his escape, Frederick ventured out of the country. Being previously apart of the Hunter Nin-Corps, he knew all to well he would be pursued had he continued to stay within Kirigakure's borders. Having traveled to the mainland, he took on a new identity going by the name "Sol" and did the only thing he knew how by becoming a bounty hunter in order to make a living. Being a prototype for the Gear Project, Sol's physical body stopped aging and he traveled across much of the ninja world as hunted down targets. One day, a target within unknown waters led Sol to a distant island that hadn't been identified on any map in all the years that had passed. On this island, Sol encountered a single temple that from the looks of it existed on the island for hundreds of years. Entering the temple, he found only an old man with a white beard sitting in a chair. Sol asked what was this place and the old man explained to him about the temple and their practices. When Sol asked the man where everyone else were, the old man replied by saying "they weren't worthy". Apparently time was changing and it showed in the new monks that were entering the temple. None of them were able to awaken their Haki and died in the process. Proceeding to ask the old man who he was, the old man replied his name was Silvers Rayleigh and he was a master monk who had learned only 2 of the 3 types of Haki. Impressed, Sol asked Rayleigh could help him unlock his own Haki, Rayleigh accepted stating that if the he died then it wouldn't be his fault at all.
The next day the Sol and Rayleigh started training to unlock Haki. On his first day of training, Rayleigh and the shinobi began sparring as the Rayleigh told him that the way to unlock the first ability is to push your ambition to the max as ambition is a form of aligning mind, body, and spirit, and said that if the shinobi's ambition is strong enough then he will unlock his Haki. So Rayleigh sparred the man, and put him in a life threatening position as Rayleigh was on a whole different level than the shinobi. With his sword slicing down diagonally toward the Sol's torso, it seemed that all hope was lost, until Sol let out a yell which people claim to have heard around the world. As the sword touched the man's body, it bounced off, apparently the shinobi had unlocked his Haki as made his body harden so that the sword couldn't cut him. Rayleigh was surprised at this and laughed with joy and that night the two celebrated with sake even though they were in a temple. Rayleigh explained that if he wanted to, they could continue the training to see if Sol could learn another Haki which he agreed and that same night, they went outside to continue training. This time, Rayleigh had set up booby traps in the forest and told the man to survive. Sol faced many of traps in the forest, leading him to lose his right eye in the process. It seemed as though it was hopeless and this dark forest would be the Sol's death bed, the traps springing suddenly slowed down, and Sol was able to even predict the traps before they exploded and dodge them. The next morning, Rayleigh was certain the man was dead as he waited at the edge of the forest enjoying more sake. Suddenly an arrow was thrown at high speed towards Rayleigh's head which he dodged, when he turned his attention towards the forest, he saw the shinobi covered in blood, walk out like a champion. Rayleigh gave the man an eye patch for his eye and they continued laughing.
The Bittersweet Return
Rayleigh thinking Sol had reached his limit, told him that it was time for them to leave the island and said that he was the last one he would ever teach. So the two left the island on the shinobi's boat and wounded up in Kirigakure where they settled down. Two year's later the Sol ended up getting a simple Kirigakure girl pregnant, and couldn't wait for his child. 9 months later the woman gave birth to a boy, however Sol, who's body was giving in to the the pressure of unlocking 2 Hakis in the same day, was growing weak. So he settled down in Kirigakure and decided to make a living forging swords. He only manage to make one though, The Junkyard MKIII before he was attacked in the middle of the night by the Masked Man who called himself Uchiha Madara. Sol who constantly used Haki from a day to day basis caught the attention of Madara who was controlling the 4th Mizukage at the time. Apparently Madara (thinking it was a Kekkei Genkai) decided he would kill the man and examine his body to find out about these techniques. They engaged in a quick battle but as the Sol's body was weak from over-using Haki, lost the battle and The Masked Man fled the scene and waited outside Kiri for the village to bury the man. After the funeral, Madara snuck in the graveyard and took the man's body, replacing him with another Kiri ninja. Madara walked off with the body, knowing the man had a son, vowed to comeback and claim the boy as his own. As he was leaving the village, Rayleigh who had been watching the whole time told Madara that he could take the shinobi for he has overrused his powers and got what he deserved and assured Madara that he would find nothing from his body except hundreds of scars. He also told Madara that if he ever stepped foot in the village to touch the shinobi's young son, then he would personally ended his life. He then released his own Haki, making even Madara respect the man and flee.
The Devious Plot Outsmarted!? Sol's New Life Begins!
As the Masked Man fled, with the body he believed to be Sol's, Sol watching the incident unfold from afar had narrowly managed to avoid death thanks to him being the only prototype for the Gear Project which provided him his abnormal longevity and life force. In order to thwart the man's plan Sol had convinced Rayleigh to teach his son the ways of Haki and to protect him from the man name Madara. Though injured, Sol knew he wouldn't be able to stay in Kirigakure anymore to watch his child grow up due to the fact the whole village had become aware of who he was and the crime of treason he had committed those many years before. Again, Sol found himself fleeing the one place he could ever call home, and set back out to the sea. His injured body however proved too much for him to safely cross the sea and Sol collapsed on the ship's deck. Several weeks later, Sol woke up in a bed confused and having no recollection of the events that had led up to this point. Accepting he was already dead, and this was some type of dream he was surprised to find out he could yet again see from his right eye. Moments later, a single ninja carrying a tray of food set it on the table next to Sol, and told him to join him when he felt he could walk.
Realizing how hungry he was, Sol scarfed down the food before he finding his legs after being bed-ridden for so long. Walking outside, Sol was surprised to see he was in a mountainous area which he later would learn was the Modern-day Kumogakure. After speaking with the person who saved his life and learning the story of how he had nearly caused the whole village to pass out, Sol remembered a story Rayleigh told him about the final and rarest Haki, known as the Conqueror's Haki worked. Feeling in the old man's debt, Sol decided he would live out his life in Kumogakure as he searched for answers on the secrets of the Conqueror's Haki.

Nature Transformation
Sol was adept at Fire Manipulation from a early age due to his brash nature. Having attained mastery of the release, he is easily able to preform the most advanced of techniques with one handseal. Though his rugged personality is also apparent through his skilled usage of earth release as well, preforming many techniques at a faster rate then the average shinobi.
Haki Manipulation
Having learned Haki directly from Rayliegh, Sol is the self proclaimed Leader of the Supernova Clan. This is shown by his sheer ability to quickly perceive an opponent's move and counteract in the same notion with the Observation Haki. He superb use of taijutsu and kenjutsu is easily augmented with use of Armament Haki. As the only one currently known to awakened the Conqueror's Haki he can quickly dominate the wills of others.
Taijustu
As a bounty hunter and a master taijutsu practioner, Sol can easily recognizing many forms of taijutsu quickly if he's seen it before. As a master he has learned many styles and has even obtained the use of the Satsui no Hado.
