High School DxD BorN – Review
I know, I know I have been doing a lot of reviews lately XD That being because I have this damn part of me that is attached to this site and it’s two years of nostalgia making me upload a thread about anything just to hear from you guys because I missed you all during that time away (Social Reject! HAHA!) Well without further ado, the BorN Review.
This was a pretty okay season. I could say that it’s good enough for one watch but it just isn’t even close to being as good as Season 2 or 1 so revisiting it won’t really be likely for me. I mean yea its new High School DxD but it really didn’t live up to the series standards. The Dub voice actors are all the same except for the main characters voice actor who is locked up (should have been thrown in a pit of lava imo) for some sick shit. After finding that out it got me wondering. Was the quality of these episodes due to the fact that what the guy was sent to jail for was really messed up and incase it hurt sells/viewers they saved money on the production costs and instead tested the waters for future seasons? I don’t know it’s just something I was thinking might be the reason but either or, let’s start with the story.
Now after reading Volume 5 of the light novels I see…. Wait a second…. 20 Volumes!!!??? 20 VOLUMES!!!???? 20 Motha****in VOLUUUUMES!!!??? iNotorious why you didn’t tell me about this shit b!!??????

Okay so after sitting back and thinking of all the amazing breasts and plot we might be getting animated I will continue lol So yea I’m not too kind when it comes to reading about boobs but as I said before I read a bit of Volume 5. My knowledge on the series really doesn’t matter being that this is the review of the anime. What matters is the fact that the writer chose to ignore the diagram that he has produced himself, and instead have filler be the backbone of this season. I mean if there is a drug called Naruto Shippuden this guy must have had his fill of it this go around. He’s trying to catch up the series by doing this bs but if us anime watchers who like to watch these bounching orbs of justice don’t get off by some words on a page then we’re not gonna get the best story. It really did suck having to sit through this thing at times. I mean I fell asleep during that save Asia thing because I swear I have seen that exact same arc before… am I wrong or did this not happen in Season 1? Granit it was MUCH better in Season 1. Just stick to the damn story on Season 4 which by the looks of the previews seems to be a thrill ride awaiting to happen. You guys better be glad I enjoyed the episode 12 ending and Seasons 1 and 2 so much because these kind of actions can get you out off my playlist, like what happened after Arrow’s buffoonery(ironically season 3). Now I went on some forums to see exactly what was left out and a post by NakedFoxSpirit pretty much summed it up
“- Lack of Rossweisse, it feels like shes "just there" now wtihout a proper reason being there and only because of the fact that its like that in the LN.
-Issei and his training, also that the girls acknowledge his physique and praises him for his hard work.
-Oppai song/JD (what upset 80% of fanbase lol)
-Bromance with Saji outside Gremory Castle, IIRC.
-RATING GAME.
-AKENO ARC BUTCHERED.”
Now on to the production quality being Directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa. Mr. Tetsuya I have a question… Did some of your producers quit on yo ass, because this animation has gotten WORSE. Like it’s never been this bad EVER. I mean I watched this in 720p so maybe I need to wait for the Blu Ray release like I did before but even then I doubt I will see any sort of difference. SO many still shots and so much stiff movement it felt like the budget didn’t drop b. It felt like it plummeted. It fell bruh. It is out of here like not on Naruto Shippuden type ish but man it’s getting there if they keep this up. Seasons 1 and 2 looked like Season 1 of Blue Exorcist and arguably Attack On Titan. I enjoyed every second of the past seasons because of the animation alone. I mean even if the story this season had been good, to be honest I would have still been pissed off over the animation of said story. This go around I will not be supporting the Blu Ray buy for that reason alone. One more thing that really pissed me off. There was absolutely no clothes ripping.... Bruh. **** this animation this season for that alone.
With all that being said I hope the next Season has a lot more effort put into it or they are going to lose a lot of viewers. The amount of faith that was put into this series was massive I mean the jokes by Issei and his schoolmates where perfect. The animation was damn near perfect. The boobs where bounching like the stars twinkle bruh. But this go around everything stopped bounching and all we have is jpegs of Jennifer Lawrence left. Clothed. While I give Season 1 a 9 and 2 a 10 this will be a
6.5/10
The .5 is for putting that song in. If you hadn’t put that in there would have been outrage in the forums so I appreciate you not causing that heh heh . So what did you fans of the series think of this Season? Think there will be a Season 4?
