Hmm~ Well, a whole damn bunch as in 'too much' according to you then~

Do you believe in fate? And not in the sense that there are outside agents, such as supernatural beings predetermining and ordering out where the future will take us, but that the course of our world goes where it goes because of what has happened before, our wills being subject to all this and will being never really as volitional as one might want to think?
Much like cause and effect?

Hehehe~ Well, that remains to be seen, or rather, proved, but I say despair not~
Have you ever heard about someone overcoming such a thing as drinking too much, moving towards drinking moderately?

indeed, my friend was a heroin addict for four years, now hes a year clean :] but i have a highly addictive personality, and a whole gaggle of inner turmoils. i binge drink, i dont even like how liquor tastes..

Well then, if we're truly not capable of changing our future or how the future in general is going to look like, but fact remains that some do move from excessive to moderate(and in other cases no) consumption of alcohol or other consumables, your future does look neither brighter nor darker to me, but clearer. Actually, you could be one moving towards a similar kind of betterment, or actually the reverse.

Either way something "helped" your friend on his way to a healthier lifestyle, and today we count many things as assisting in our betterment: therapy, support from friends and family etc., but I'd say myself that it goes beyond only these, though not dismissing what help these could mean.
I'm pointing at the course of our world, which I have been conversing about, but do we know our world so well?
Some believe in God, other Gods, in that science will pave the way to truth, philosophy for others, many means to grasp our world better, or control, if you will.
I can say though, thanks to memory, you do have a chance at it, however it choses to play itself out in the end.

My divination for you tells me you shouldn't despair, but try to be as active in what you do as possible, understanding rather than avoiding. After all, how does one deal with something one avoids understanding, if not temporarily and not wholly at all?
My divinations are just what you see in this text, ambiguous because I cannot be completely sure what awaits, but patterns are always discernable for one with a keen eye, which is what I'm offering here~
