Hashirama was waiting in the grass terrain with various trees around and then he saw someone he recognized, someone he sparred once before when Hashirama was in Amegakure. "It has been a long time Toph, let's get tis started!
Hashirama started off with casting a genjutsu on Toph. Hashi snapped his fingers and Toph started to believe that a grid of bright lines appeared on her body, then the body split apart into each grid and made 40 little ones of herself. All those little ones were running around because of the confusion, and angry that they were so small. In reality Toph's clone was just about to run around because of the confusion, not being able to perform handseals while being caught in the genjutsu.
But right after Toph got caught in the illusion, Hashirama caused strong trees to grow around Toph, crushing and binding her. Hashi then slammed his hands, causing a large amount of water to be summoned above the head of Toph, soaking her and the trees.

Description:
The user will snap their fingers and by doing this they disrupt the targets chakra flow to bring them under a unique genjutsu. once the fingers are snapped - the target will suddenly get bright lines all over their body like a grid. Then their body splits apart in each grid square and making about 40 little who whomever the target it - meaning the target's mind under the illusion is split between the little ones. This causes the target to be confused and feel as if their body has been split into little clones of themselves. The little ones in the illusion are just running around - spouting confusion and being angry that they're small. While under then illusion the little ones cannot use any techniques so the target can't use these little ones as legit clones. In reality, the target is running around due to the confusion.

Description: The user will slam their hands against then ground allowing him/her to summon a massive amount of water from the sky, crushing it into the opponent. If needed, the user can cancel the technique in an instant.
Note: The water needs to be summoned at least 10 meters above the opponent to have any real effect.

Toph was standing in doing nothing when she saw Hashirama, the one who was kicked out of ame long ago for telling other people people about what's happening inside of the village.
Who're you again? Oh, Woody, long time no see.
after hearing him saying "lets get started" Hashi snaps his fingers and a grid of light appears on Toph's body. Toph got very worried unlike how she's always been when she saw herself getting divided into 40 little Tophs. the little Tophs kept mocking each other and some them tried to attack Hashirama but he felt nothing then one of the Tophs yelled saying something to all other 39 Tophs.
This has to be a genjutsu. there's no way in Ba Sing Se he can simply chop down the great Toph into small ones. get hold of yourselves and gather here at once.
while the small Tophs were gathering, all of them, at the same time, felt a strong pressure on their bodies that almost crushed them. at this moment, all of the Toph concentrated a huge amount of Doton chakra at the same time and released it, making a full-body surge of Doton chakra that burst her out of the genjutsu and made a very thick layer of stones around her body that pushed the trees away and prevented them from crushing her. Right after this, Hashi summoned water right above Toph's heads that just soaked her, the trees, and the ground with water without doing anything to her but to soak her (read the description of your own jutsu).

Description: The user releases a burst of earth chakra from all over his body. As he does this, a multitude of rock seemingly grows from his skin, forming a large, dense armour or rock much bigger and bulkier than the users original size. The armour can be manipulated and used to create extendable weapons to strike a target with like rudimentary swords or hammers. The downside is that the user cannot mold techniques from other elements a part from earth while sustaining the armor. The armor can be manifested in only specific parts of the body if the user so chooses.

as Toph gets angry, she slams her hands over the ground releasing four spikes of earth from four directions around Hashirama. though she didn't need to slam her hands on the ground Toph just did it because she wanted to feel as if she was manipulating earth and stones using hand gestures (i.e. earth bending). Once Toph slammed her hands over the ground, the stone armor cracked and the cracks spread swiftly all over the armor and it crumbled down in less than 2 seconds

Description: The user of this technique condenses the soil and rock in the area to sprout out in the form of four large spikes which attack the target from four separate directions to make it harder to evade. However, it can be easilty avoided by escaping upwards.
Since Toph knows that Hashirama is a smart person when it comes to battle and he's specialist of both earth and water, she knows well that he will jump upwards to avoid the four stone spikes coming at him. so, Toph makes three spike-shaped stones to rise up from the ground and get shot at Hashirama from 3 different angles once he jumps upwards.

Description: The user manipulates their chakra creating three huge rocks infront of them. The user will then unleash the three huge rocks coming from three different angles from infront of the enemy to smash into each other causing segements to start protruding from the collision and damaging the opponent.
