My friend made this OST, hope you enjoy playing this track while reading my theory.

Hey Guys, in the past I've made some theories which I explained the possibility of Neji Spirit coming back and surprisingly many people seem to enjoy and agree with my terms and this takes waaaay back before I.T. Occurred. While I had some disagreement, I'd argued that any spirit can simply come back to the physical world via how Hagoromo explained and People would love to counter that Hagoromo emerged and transmigrated through centuries because he was a "GOD" and or that Minato& Kushina showed up because they stored their chakra and placed their seal inside Naruto.

However due to this recent event, things turns tide to my favor. You can check out my previous thread.

The Hyugas Role & Hype :

Neji role in Process :

Here that would relate to my Theory:

Kaguya, The Hyuga Curse Seal

Now that we've finally reached to this point, in this chapter Obito was able to transport himself from the Limbo to the Physical world and merged into Kakashi to give him chakra. He had also explained that "Chakra" is the bridge between the two world and there're some theories like Vega and Dragnor had brought up some point with regarding the 6 path/ realms had connection with the spirits and the edo tensie that calls and grasp the spirit from the afterlife in other word, this whole lifeforce is filled with chakra itself and keep in mind that they're in Kaguya Realm.

For more information, you can check out the link to their Theory.

Vega:

Between this World and the Next

Dragnor

Ghost Realm : Bridge to the Five Realms

There're so many way to interrupt "Spirit" from Kishimoto standpoint, and as such as the link I've provided, this brings in even more possible for my theory to come into my Fruition. Even you disagree with my predictions because it's the biggest "ASSPULL" then regardless I can assure you that at this point of time, anything is possible which was proven in this chapter that since Obito can do it implies that everyone can do it unless they "Pass on"

Now Since I've explained through my previous theories, let me revise and layout the points I've established.

  • In Chapter 662, According to the Viz Translation, it was hinted by Hinata that Neji will protect Naruto.

There's no way that Kishimoto will simpily run loose after considering what she said, this isn't just a mere fluke, there's always reason behind it which is known for building up the plot especially we've reached this far to the story, this whole spirit right now brings even more plausible that ties in to my theory.

  • Hamura confirmed to equipped the Byakugan thus it's safe to say that he's the Hyuga ancestor. Hamura presumably to be a Taijutsu users and he used Sealing Techs which many speculated (Include myself) that he's also an Uzumaki.

You must be registered for see images

  • In that case one of Gai team members is Taijutsu user (Neji & Rock Lee) and his other Team member (Tenten) uses Sealing Techs. And not to forget Tenten got to handle one of the Treasured Tools Of Sage.

(Yes I understand that Tenten is under the Infinite Tsukoyomi, however I don't think someone like Tobirama is going to be the one to utilize the tools especially at this point the hokages are gathered with Hagoromo at one place awaiting to get into Kaguya Realm meaning that plot is further swayed away the possibility chance of him obtaining the Sage tools are almost slim to none.)

As I previously mentioned, Kishi can't simply leave everything to waste after it had been foreshadowed for Tenten roles because why else does she studied for all this time and then it comes down to asking the cloud ninja to help her out, which many of you presume to be Killer Bee which some speculated he's active in I.T. cause of "Sunglasses" and be the one to use it when in fact he's not. The same Applies to Shino.

  • Keep in mind that Hamura is a Hyuga and done almost the same as Neji with similar pose as SO6P which was depicted on Volume 64 facing the Juubi

  • Considering Kishimoto haven't reveal the Backstory with Kaguya& Hamura, it's more likely we will learn the byakugan origin and the hyuga secrets that would connect Neji roles with possibly meeting up Hinata and or Naruto in the Ghost or Heaven Realm.

  • Kaguya goals were possibly send her army of White Zetsus, who are surperb at absorbing chakra, into the Spirit World then she would have a nearly limitless supply of Chakra to absorb and conquer the 6 realms.

Now the rehash is out of the way, let me try to add new briefly to my theory.

As you guys all noticed, Neji is a caged bird and when he dies, he gain his freedom and lose his branch mark on his forehead. Kishimoto love to play symbolism. On Volume 64 we see that Kishimoto has drawn Neji - surrounded by Naruto’s cloak in the form of a Phoneix.

DO you know what the Phoenix symbolizes? Rebirth

What's interested to note is that it seems Kishi manage to implement the Chineese Mythology Han Dynasty Feng Long to his series.

Han Dynasty Fung Long (Phoenix and Dragon)

This regal design was the imperial coat of arms of the ancient Han emperors and was only recently discovered in a Han Dynasty tomb. Originally carved from solid jade, the Dragon Phoenix represents nobility, success, and harmony between the positive Yang forces (represented by the dragon), and the negative Yin forces (represented by the phoenix). In addition the dragon represents wisdom and the phoenix represents rebirth.

First off, on the Bold I've labeled, based on the context, it explained that the Dragon& Phoenix represents nobility, success, and harmony .

The description fits almost perfectly because The original symbol that Neji has on his forehead is a resemblance of Manji (whirlwind) representing Dharma ( following the principle of their teaching) , Harmony and Balance of the Opposites. People get mixed up with the Swastika as nazi but in actuality the Hyuga Cursed Seal is Hindu and Buddhist symbol of Manji.

The Phoenix feathers were composed of the five fundamental colors: black, white, red, green, and yellow. These colors are said to represent the Confucius' five virtues:

Ren is the virtue of benevolence, charity, and humanity;
Yi: Honesty and uprightness; Yì may be broken down into zhong, doing one's best, conscientiousness, loyalty and shù: the virtue of reciprocity, altruism, consideration for others
Zhi: Knowledge
Xin: Faithfulness and integrity;
Li: Correct behavior, propriety, good manners, politeness, ceremony, worship.

If you read all of the above, Neji has all the following principle of traits to the diagram.

Ren:Neji has shown the desire to protect both Hinata& Naruto for the good and for the Hyuga& Shinobi world. Through his sacrifice, it ultimately strengthened the resolve of the Alliance to follow his example and fight to keep the bonds they had. To this end, Neji became a martyr for the Allied Forces and his death inspired many.

Yi: Neji has shown his loyalty to the Hyūga's Main House and pledge to protect it.

Zhi: Neji is very Knowledgeable of his Clans Secret. He managed to deduce his workings simply through observation to learn the forbidden technique that only Main Family can use thus further live up the title as a ``Genius``.

Xin: He has his shown very strong moral uprightness support to his team and for his clan as an Honorable man. Neji's hobby was meditation according to the Databooks and Meditation is one of the most important things.

Li: Neji began trying to remedy the estranged relations between himself and the main house members, most particularly by being kinder to Hinata and his uncle Hiashi.

On the Next Bold the context stated that the positive Yang forces (represented by the dragon), and the negative Yin forces (represented by the phoenix).

In the yin and yang metaphor, Kishimoto has implemented that Neji and Lee to be Phoenix and Dragon. Neji represent the Phoenix in other word, the "Yin" negative attribute and Rock Lee represent the Dragon illustrate as a "Yang" force.

I`m well aware that the Phoenix (Fenghuang) is more known as female however Hypothetically speaking, in Han Dynasty the Phoenix is non-gender because according to the ancient the two phoenixes was one a male (feng,) and the other a female (huang,) were often shown together facing one other. Later, during the Yuan Dynasty the two terms were merged to become fenghuang but the "King of Birds" came to symbolize the empress when paired with a dragon the emperor.

Now some of you will ask me how does Lee has to do with representing as a Dragon. Well if you go back at chapter 672, Might Gai was able to perform "Night Moth" formed exact like a Dragon and that was his final move.

We know Rock Lee haven't unlocked all gates, but he will go at the same process as Gai did with performing Midnight Dragon. Furthermore, Kishimoto also took the reference of Bruce Lee "Enter the Dragon" to depict him as a character.

Lastly, the last bit of the description indicated that the dragon represents wisdom and the phoenix represents rebirth.

Now Rock Lee has always made his words of Wisdom and pledge to never give up his dreams, he represent the hard working theme. The Youthful Spirit drives him to where he's now

Neji was always chained by his destiny, and was born very talented Ninja. The curse mark were placed to ensure the Branch member follows the orders of the Main House and to protect the secrets of the Byakugan in order to prevent falling into the wrong hand. In the Naruto VS Neji fight, we get a flashback where we see Hizashi say to a young Neji the following two things:

“You must live”

“Oh, how I wish I had born you into the main branch”

When the death give him freedom, perhaps the yin form of energy and embodies creative rebirth and revitalization, which sets out the beginning of a new life that will bring both material and spiritual regeneration.

Supreme Energy Ba Gwa

The ultimate geometric symbol of the I-Ching and the Art of Feng Shui the Ba Gwa (eight trigrams) and is used as a powerful talisman. Smaller version of the Ba Gwa can be seen on walls and doors throughout Asia since it beneficial effects are widely known. The center of this Ba Gwa contains the Yin Yang symbol known as the Tai Chi and represents the universal and eternal interaction between the forces of positive and negative. Together the two symbols provide both protection from harm and great fortune.

Energy Ba Gwa

The Hyuga clan, has the power of the 8 Trigrams. Naruto, Neji and Hinata were always intended to interact as a complementary pair as part of a Taoist theme. Yin, Yang, the Eight Trigrams and Sixty-Four Tetragrams make up the crux of Taoist models of the physical universe and its behavior. Yang is the creative aspect while Yin is the receptive aspect. Using the I Ching, one attempts to gain insight into the universe through a sort of oracle sooth-saying: .

Hinata is Yin - the material of existence and change with no shape or form and Naruto is Yang - the essence of energy and rigidity , the two accomplish nothing - but by combining different facets of each, one creates everything.

This leads us all back to the purpose of Naruto - the goal. Neji believes that Naruto and Hinata have the same destiny, but Naruto is saying to stop trying to predict the future with that Byakugan of yours. Neji says "prove that you are right", and Naruto beats him.
However, Neji was destined to die protecting Hinata. This further reinforce the Taoist concept of destiny. Naruto shared the same destiny as Hinata. He assumed that it meant Naruto would be defeated by him - but this was a very narrow and conceited observation on his part.

Naruto didn't overcome his destiny. No one overcomes their destiny. One can only make peace with their destiny and how they justify their fulfillment of it. In some cases - it is believed that you do actually have a choice in the matter - but even then, you ultimately are fated to be presented with the choice (and therefor your fate is to make a choice - even if that choice is not predetermined).

There is a natural flow - a sort of 'destiny' to the universe and the things in it. All living things need to sustain themselves - this is the 'natural flow' or the 'destiny' of life.

"In all 3 books (TaoTeChing, ChuangTzu, LiehTzu), spontaneous destiny is the mission of life, which one may or may not live long enough to complete. In all 3 books, destiny is absolute, but in the Lieh Tzu, it seems possible to act against destiny with consequences. Hence, for LiehTzu, it may be important to locate a signpost of one’s destiny so as to be sure that one is on course to complete a life’s mission, and if one is not on the best course, to determine how to effect a course change. A road amp of one’s destiny would seem to counter spontaneity, but a signpost would be merely an affirmation for those who have not been able to roam what ChuangTzu would call a life of “free and easy wandering”.

To discuss the notion of a “course correction” in life entails all kinds of risks in a classical Taoist world. The 3 masters would vehemently turn their disciples back from such an endeavor. Yet all 3 masters hint at situations where course corrections are possible and divination an acceptable tool to formulate a course correction. In fact, the purpose of all 3 books is to give advice. The TaoTeChing condemns foreknowledge as “the beginning of folly” (TTC ch. 38, Lau), but also says that the sage “may know the whole world” without venturing outside, knows without stirring, identifies without looking and accomplishes without doing (TTC ch. 47, Lau). The ChuangTzu warns that fortune tellers may not comprehend fully what they divine. (ChuangTzu ch. 24. Watson, p. 234.) The LiehTzu suggests that [w]hen judgement and verification are both plain, refusing to act on them is like refusing to go by the door when you leave or follow the path when you walk. (LiehTzu, Graham, p. 159).

The Taoist principle of Wu-Wei transcends free will (nothing is done yet nothing is left undone, TTC ch. 38), and the ChuangTzu questions whether one can ever be sure to distinguish human agency from heaven agency in Man (is the doer the man or heaven, ChuangTzu ch. 6). Therefore, one could say that seeking to align one’s destiny in the world harmonizes with Tao. Responsive meditation (such as a mirror-mind meditation) can help train someone to be spontaneous and sensitive to the Tao currents, but divination may also work to locate signposts in one’s destiny. The classic texts don’t delve into the specifics of divination (several popular forms of prognostication were practiced during the Warring States Period of China and the time of Lao Tzu), so I turn to other Taoists of the period and their understanding of prognostication systems. In Chinese astrology (dating to before 1000 B.C.) whether and how one fulfills one’s destiny is a matter of luck (Heaven, Earth, Human), contingencies and chance. Of the 3 kinds of luck, Man has influence over Earth and Human luck by selecting and rearranging living environments and by one’s deeds and actions. (Wu, Shelley, Chinese Astrology: Exploring The Eastern Zodiac, p. 14.) "

Even the Taoist masters of legend had difficulty placing the concept of destiny into words and human description.

Just as Kaguya's decisions led to the development of the Ninja world, did they solidify a destiny for the one(s) who would return it to the natural order. The role of the Uzumaki and the Hyuuga is a product of destiny. Kaguya, through her actions, determined the nature of that destiny - and Hagoromo further solidified that destiny.

Kaguya is sealed by a joint task force of Uzumaki sages and Hyuuga in a process involving the Holy Tree. This is the origin of the Eight Trigrams Seal, the Hyuuga's Caged Bird Seal, and the Dead Demon Consuming Seal - which calls upon the essence of Kaguya to seal away the chakra of those targeted by the Uzumaki.

Uzumaki were the one who safeguarded the secrets of the tree, the arts of the Sage, and the art of sealing away energy. As such, they were destroyed by Black Zetsu and his plot to return Kaguya to the world.

Hyuuga safeguarded the secret of Kaguya, guarding the portion that was wrought from her being. All but the head branch have their abilities sealed away to prevent them from using the forbidden chakra and slipping down the same path as Kaguya.

I postulate that Hinata is the reason the Hyuuga remained behind - that she is a part of Kaguya. Just as it is Naruto's destiny to return the tree to its natural role. Neji has meddle in an attempt to guide Naruto to choose a certain context of his destiny.

Conclusion

Now it all comes down to speculation.

After Naruto and Sasuke sealed and disrupt the Infinite Tsukoymi, Hinata and everyone else gets their waking call, however either Kaguya/ BZ still lurking around which the world is about to break thus the Sage sealing tool is still occurred which is why Tenten has her role and also allow Neji spirit to emerges and possibly as a Phoenix and join with Hinata& Naruto and maybe going through this same process similar with Obito physically gave spirit power to Kakashi.

My whole point is that perhaps Neji role is to reinforce Taosim concept with either or both NaruHina to balance the essence of combining one achievement that is if either both of them fails and fallen into the wrong hand which could also explained why Hinata ask neji to protect Naruto. Power must not rest in one person, because if it does it corrupts them, and the cycle beings anew. This is also why Sasuke and Naruto being equal is relevant. Opposing forces balance one another BUT yet lead to perpetual war.
