➔ Welcome to this very special RP. Though this RP is a part of the Non-Official RP section, it is meant to be a serious RP. As such, this RP will act and perform very heavily to the rules and technical operations of the Official Naruto RP. . ➔ I will be monitoring EVERYTHING that goes on that has to do with the posting of this RP. If I notice any unfair/foul play or rule breaking, you will be reported. I will give a warning via VM/PM to first time mistakes, though after the first mistake, there will be a watchful eye, and I will not be as lenient. Follow the official RP rules and the rules of this specific thread.

➔ There are several aspects to this RP. You will choose your character and follow through the RP as you would any other. This RP is dedicated to the One Piece series and should follow the story line of it. You may use canonical characters, (though their history, personality, and abilities can not be changed to dramatic extents) join Pirate Crews, take on missions, and battle other players in this RP.
➔ This RP follows the same rules of the official Battle RP system. In addition, there are official abilities that one can learn and utilize. This means that players can kill one another in a battle (though they may continue to use the bios later). Be fair and accept defeat if you lose. You will find further down explanations of how the ranking system will work and how this will affect your status and capabilities in the RP

But… Good reason or not… Nobody hurts a friend of mine.  ۞ Basic Information | 基本情報 ✎ Name — Shanks | シャンクス ✎ Nick Names — Red-Hair ✎ Age — 39 ✎ Gender — Male 『 Looks | 外見 』 :  Shanks always wears a long black cape over his shoulders and, until he met Luffy, he wore a straw hat obtained from his captain that he had worn for many years beforehand, and was synonymous with his image. He initially wore slightly loose brown trousers cut below the knee and collected halfway up the shin, with golden buttons down the outer leg. Recently he has been seen wearing a similar pair, but looser and with floral patterns on them. He wears a pair of sandals and is unshaven with a short scruffy beard. Shanks has always worn a white shirt which is only buttoned halfway, leaving his chest exposed. Around his waist is a large red sash, which also holds his sabre on the right side. The most striking thing about Shanks is the color of his red hair, where his epithet 'Red-Haired Shanks' comes from. He also has three scars across his left eye, which were revealed to have been given to him by Blackbeard, and by saving Luffy from a Sea King he lost his left arm. : 『 Personality | 性格 』 Shanks is extremely laid back, preferring to take his time as he and his crew travels around the world rather than rushing from one place to another. Shanks is not cruel like many other pirate captains, nor does he rule over his crew with fear to gain respect. His friendly nature means he will not purposely seek to harm others, and he is able to make serious characters like Dracule Mihawk join in with his fun. Yet despite how simple minded he appears at first, Shanks is a complex person with some rather difficult to understand views. For example, he believes if two people share very different views, it is better they go their separate ways. Shanks does not seem to mind what happens to himself; he will take others throwing food and drink or spitting on him without fighting back and laugh with his crew at his own misfortunes. Even losing an arm did not bother him much. However he would never forgive anyone for attacking his friend. Shanks and his crew are almost always seen partying and drinking alcoholic beverages whenever they make an appearance, as the captain's favorite pastimes are attending and hosting parties and banquets. He also is against the idea of needless bloodshed, even if honor is involved and so far seems to only step up for a fight when a friend is in danger. He also seems to admire those who have courage, as seen when a young Luffy stood up against Higuma for insulting Shanks and also when he saw Coby gathering his courage to stop the war as the young marine believed that it was pointless to continue.
History | 歴史 : The Apprentice Years Shanks comes from the West Blue and in his past, was a member of Gol D. Roger's crew as a cabin boy and took part in many things such as fighting with Whitebeard. At some point, Shanks acquired Roger's straw hat, although the circumstances behind Shanks acquiring the hat from Roger are unknown at this point in time. His date of joining is unknown, but he spent most of his time together with fellow trainee, Buggy, arguing over meaningless things, such as which pole was colder, the North or the South. Their constant bickering was met with annoyance by the crew's first mate, Silvers Rayleigh. Shanks and the Boy Luffy Years later, after becoming the captain of his own pirate ship, Shanks arrived on an island where he met a strange young boy named Monkey D. Luffy. Intrigued by the boy and enjoying the atmosphere of Luffy's village, he decided to make the island his crew's base for a short period of time (which turned into a year). Luffy quickly grew attached to the crew, so much so that he wished to join their ranks and become a pirate as well. Shanks refused to allow the boy into his crew on the basis that he was too young. As Shanks walks forward, one of the bandits points a gun at Shanks, which ends with him being shot himself. Shanks then tells Higuma he will not allow him to hurt a friend of his and get away with it. Higuma, unhindered by his speech sends the rest of the crew after him, Shanks' first mate decides to step in and single-handedly he takes out the entire gang of bandits, leaving Higuma alone. Realizing he can not win, Higuma drops a smoke bomb and takes Luffy away. As the smoke clears, Shanks' realizes Luffy is gone and panics. Out at sea, Higuma and Luffy stand in a boat. Higuma decides it is time to lose Luffy and kicks him in the water. Luffy is angry that he could do nothing to Higuma and as Luffy struggles in the water, a sea monster appears. Higuma, unable to do anything, is eaten and the creature then turns towards Luffy. Moments before he is eaten, Shanks saves the boy's life. The creature is scared away by one stare from Shanks. When it is gone, Luffy lets out a cry: Shanks has lost an arm in saving his life. Finally Luffy has realized he is too young to sail out to sea and become a pirate. He however realizes what a great man Shanks is. At the docks later, Luffy has come to say goodbye to Shanks and his crew. He is sad they are leaving, but not worried about going with them as he has decided he will become a pirate on his own. This leads to Shanks stating he did not want him on his crew in the first place and that there is no way Luffy can become a pirate. In anger, Luffy proclaims he will become a pirate, gather a crew strong enough to beat Shanks' and find the worlds greatest treasure and no matter what, become the Pirate King. Shanks, happy at Luffy's claim, gives him his Straw Hat and tells Luffy to give it back; when he has become a great pirate. Honored by Shanks' gesture, Luffy cries. As Shanks boards his ship to leave, his first mate comments on how Luffy will become big, Shanks remarks he knows because he reminds him of himself when he was young. Post-Enies Lobby Arc Sometime later, Shanks had met up with another Yonko, Whitebeard, to discuss with him serious matters regarding Marshall D. Teach. It soon followed with Shanks and Whitebeard having a small scuffle that created thunderous storms. Marineford Arc Appearing suddenly, Shanks arrives just in time to save Coby from being killed by Akainu. He commends the young Marine for his determination and tells him that with his brave words, he has secured the "seconds of courage" that would change the fate of the world. The Marines loudly exclaim the presence of the Red Hair Pirates, as they wonder how Shanks was able to arrive at Marineford so quickly, having fought with Kaido the day before. With a few mere words and his imposing presence, he was able to end the war at Marineford. He then managed to return Luffy's Hat to him while he was unconscious. Following the aftermath of the battle, Shanks had set up a funeral for both Ace and Whitebeard. Pictures | 写真:

➔ Your rank is vital. It determines your character's prowess and abilities. For now, you're post count is dependent on what you can learn. The only difference between this and the official Naruto RP, is that you will not need training in order to learn certain things. As soon as you reach the rank you are a master in a specific field. The current Ranking System follows the same format as the Official NarutoBase version.
➔ An important difference to notice is that this RP has two distinct Ranking systems. You may either be a Pirate or a Marine, and each has an according ranking system. Additionally, in this RP (for now) you will NOT need training to learn a fighting style, or have abilities. Once you reach your rank, you automatically learn the ability you are capable of reaching. (There will be regulations)

There is a reason that the ranking system uses the english translations for Pirate Ranking (Shichibukai roughly translates to 7 Warlords & Yonko roughly translates to 4 Emperors). Being Warlord rank does NOT mean you are a Shichibukai and being Emperor rank does NOT mean you are a Yonko. This will be explained further in the rules.

➔ As a central theme in the One Piece series, Pirate Crews and Marine Organizations are an important aspect of the RP. There is already a pre-made set of groups that may be chosen from. These groups each have their own set of rules. These groups act in very similar fashions to the village system of the Official Naruto RP. Custom crews can NOT be made.

Pirate Crews
Pirates do NOT have to join Pirate Crews. If a player does wish to join a group, they may request to join the group at hand. These crews follow a similar format to the official village groups. Therefore, there must be a captain of the ship, which acts similar to the Kage. Other roles may be added, such as 1st Mates.
In order to be a captain of a crew, one must reach a rank of Captain. The same follows for 1st Mate.

Marines MUST join the Marine HQ. Marine HQ may have one official Fleet Admiral and three official Admirals. This is similar to how village groups may have one Kage and other high class staff.
The official Fleet Admiral and the three official Admirals of Marine HQ may directly speak and give orders to the Schichibukai here. Admirals may decide to nominate or remove players as Shichibukai, though the final decision is made by the official Fleet Admiral. Only the Admirals and Fleet Admirals may order Shichibukais.
In order to be the Official Fleet Admiral, you must have reached a rank of Fleet Admiral. In order to be one of the three Official Admirals, you must reach a rank of Admiral.
The official Fleet Admiral and the three official Admirals of Marine HQ may directly speak and give orders to the Schichibukai here. Admirals may decide to nominate or remove players as Shichibukai, though the final decision is made by the official Fleet Admiral. Only the Admirals and Fleet Admirals may order Shichibukais.

Few selected members of the Marines may join this group. This group acts as a covert group that follows the instructions given to them by the official Fleet Admiral and three official Admirals of the Marine HQ.
In order to be a part of this group, you must nominated by one of the three official admirals of the Marine HQ and then approved by the official Fleet Admiral.

To become a member of this group, players must be chosen/nominated by members of Marine HQ. This group is designated to 7 members MAX. You must reach a rank of Warlord to be nominated and designated as a Shichibukai.
These members work alongside the Marines, though they may still act on their own. Marine HQ may nominate a solo pirate player or the captain of a pirate crew. If a solo Pirate or a Pirate Captain is selected by the Marines to become a Shichibukai, they may choose to accept it or not (For crews, the final decision should come down to the Captain). If a Captain does reach that title, all members of their crew join that title as well.
Shichibukai may request to speak and discuss with the Fleet Admiral and Admirals here. Shichibukai do NOT have to follow orders from anyone besides the official Admirals and Fleet Admiral, though Shichibukai can not necessarily order lower ranks of the Marines.
Marines may also forcibly strip the title of Shichibukai from pirates (within reason). For example, failure for a Shichibukai to comply to orders of the Marine may cause the Marine HQ to decide to remove one's title of Shichibukai. Or, if a Shichibukai were to directly attack the Marine HQ, their title would be removed. Those who have lost their title of Shichibukai must wait 2 weeks before attempting to fight for it again. ONLY the Fleet Admiral may make the decision to remove or add a Shichibukai.

For example, failure for a Shichibukai to comply to orders of the Marine may cause the Marine HQ to decide to remove one's title of Shichibukai. Or, if a Shichibukai were to directly attack the Marine HQ, their title would be removed. Those who have lost their title of Shichibukai must wait 2 weeks before attempting to fight for it again. ONLY the Fleet Admiral may make the decision to remove or add a Shichibukai.
To become a member of this group, players must be the strongest in the RP or defeat a Yonko to take their title. This group is designated to 4 members MAX. These players are simply recognized as the strongest of the RP. You must reach a rank of Emperor to be nominated and designated as a Yonko.
If a solo Pirate or a Pirate Captain defeats a Yonko, they automatically take their title. If a Captain does reach that title, all members of their crew join that title as well. Those who have lost their title of Yonko must wait 2 weeks before attempting to fight for it again.

✖ Battle System ✖
➔ The powers and abilities section is extremely important. These act in a very similar fashion to the Official Naruto RP section. There are four main categories: Sword-Style, Marksmanship, Martial Arts, Devil Fruit, Haki (There is also an additional custom subsection in each of these for certain players may submit to create their own magic)
➔ As per the official RP rules, the same follows with this RP. The beginning of the battle starts by both sides agreeing to the terms of the battle. This involves agreeing on the terrain, distance apart, types of abilities allowed or prohibited, etc. Each player in the battle starts off with their Energy levels and Health at their full capacity. In addition, there are only 3 moves are allowed to be made per turn. Each "ability" has an Energy cost and the effects vary. The goal of the battle system are for the characters to drop their opponents Health to 0.
➔ The battles may vary from 1 vs. 1 to 1 vs. 2 to 5 vs. 5 to 3 vs. 3 vs. 3. It does not matter, so long as all sides agree to the arrangement

✮ Final Note ✮
As several of you may know, this is a remastered version and update of the initial One Piece RP that I made before. This version is more complete, though it is clear there is still much to add. One such feature of the RP that I am saddened to not include is the training feature. Another feature that I could not include were locations. As such, I could not create the different Blues, Paradise, The Red Line, or The New World. Though it won't be added anytime in the near future, there is always the possibility of this RP adding a training section and other ideas (It all depends on how popular this RP System becomes and how much help I can receive)
For those of you who enjoy this RP, be sure to check out the Official Fairy Tail RP as well! Besides Naruto, Fairy Tail, and One Piece, I am not extremely proficient with other manga/anime, so it would be a half-ass job if I tried to make RP versions of those series. If somebody does wish to create other series RP, please let me know so that I can help assist in making it a great RP.
For anyone that has any questions or suggestions about this RP, whether it be technical details or whatever, feel free to PM/VM me. Also, you may request a position to be work with me on this RP. However, I extremely serious about this RP and I will not be accepting people easily. I will be observing people carefully and if I find someone I believe to be an asset to work with, I will offer a position. If you constantly request to be a part of the RP management, you will be declined every single time and be reported if it gets out of hand.
