The movie was great, worth at least an 8. Don't try to compare this movie to a franchise like Harry Potter. I barely gave a damn about Harry Potter but it was quite an epic in itself. You can't compare a superhero movie to that, a story that was essentially the life's work of a strong author. Again, there is just nothing to compare there.

For me, this was the most unique of the superhero movies I have seen yet. I haven't seen Winter Soldier yet, but by far Apocalypse stands alone in my mind. The whole 'God among men' or 'man becomes god' concept resonates with me. If its done clever and in an impactful way then I will just eat it up.

Apocalypse's ability essentially makes him a god to start, but its his silver tongue, his gathering of strength and his manipulation of powers like Xavier's that made him truly menacing. Kind of like Juubi Jin Madara gathering enough power to become immortal or the final Villain of FMA doing essentially the same thing, it had a feel to it of epicness and wonder. That's the kind of thing that made it unique and impactful for me.
