Chapter 6 – Destiny
“Lee somethings coming. This… this just might be our end.” Tenten says closing the sewer lid and the two jump from the ladder as loud explosions shake the ground above them.
“The radiation levels just sky rocketed in this area. Follow me Lee. I’ll find us an exit zone.” Tenten says putting away her tablet.
“Wait I don’t understand… what’s going on Tenten?”
“The hell are you talking about Lee. We’re at war.”
“War…but… we were training just a minute ago… at least I think we were.” Lee says.
“Lee it’s been months since we trained. Did you bump your head or something?” Tenten asks as Lee backs into the walk shaking as he looks down to see his left arm missing.
“Oh God! Where’s… where’s my arm!?”
“You lost it in the last battle… don’t you remember?”
“No! This… this isn’t real.”
“It is Lee. Search your mind. You know it’s true.” Tenten says holding on to Lee who slowly begins to fall unconscious.
Negative Zone
Lee wakes finding each of the ninja surrounding him with a purple aura.
“Lee. It’s time.” Kakashi says, his eyes glimmering purple.
“I… I had a vision…” Lee says shivering as Tenten helps him up.
“We all did Lee. It was nothing but a mind trick. Now go into the cave and gain your cosmic energy.” Tenten pushes Lee into the cave opening and Gin walks behind him taping his back.
“Close our eyes and let loose your pain.”
Lee closes his eyes and pushes his hand forward letting out a blast of lightning that hits Galactus’ heart creating a shimmer that sends rock debris falling from the ceiling. Lee flies backwards as the energy flows through his body hardening his skin and leaving a purple aura around him.
“We did it… We’ve gotten so powerful. I can’t even explain this feeling.” Hashirama says.
“****in Majestic I bet hah!” Deadpool says.
“You should be powerin up as well. You’re the weakest one here.” Choji says.
“I’ll have you know I destroyed the entire Marvel Universe before fatso. So don’t go trynna call me out unless you spittin’ some facts.”
“What’d you call me!?” Choji says beginning to grow larger.
“Choji that’s enough! Shrink back down before you exhaust yourself.” Ino says.
“I… I can keep going! I can get bigger!”
“Man that didn’t sound right.” Deadpool says as Choji grows half the size of the asteroid.
“Christ. He’s never been so big.” Shikamaru says.
“That’s what she said.” Deadpool says giving Naruto a thumbs up as he chuckles.
“Now it’s time for you all to learn how to control this great strength. You will be looked at as Gods. People will marvel at your fast paced thinking and you knowledge of vast planets and cultures. After you visit them of course.” Gin says.
Egypt
Kingpin plops down on a large white chair facing Destiny who smiles as she sips her cup of coffee. Kingpin smiles back rubbing his chin admiring and pondering as Destiny begins to blush.
“You just going to stare at me or are we here to talk?” She asks.
“Well I was just wondering how a person already so gifted in her aesthetics is given yet another gift so damn amazing. It is a strange thing. And it happens all throughout the world. People with gifts given even more power.”
“I wasn’t raised as princess as you may think. I was raised on a farm with two older brothers I grew up to know what hard work and struggle is. I am more than just my looks Kingpin sir.”
“I bet you are. That’s why I have brought you here today. To use your mind and tell me what is to come of my plans.”
“Did Mystique not tell you? I’ve only gone as far as a month from now during our training.”
“Go two months.” Kingpin says making Destiny choke on her coffee.
“Are you out of your mind? I don’t want to fall victim to this again.”
“You won’t Destiny. Just believe in yourself. I can wake you if you go under. I have the technology and the money to make sure its so.”
Destiny sighs then putting down her cup. She closes her eyes and concentrates as she falls into a dreamlike state.
“What do you see?” Kingpin says grinning and sweating in anticipation.
“Chaos… It’s… Apocalypse. He’s… He’s winning.”
“Excellent… Now go into detail for…” Destiny storms from the room as Kingpins smile turns into a serious scowl as he begins rubbing his chin again looking out the window at the Egyptian city.
“In due time my Destiny… In due time you will see. Our side is the true savior.”
Naruto walks the plains of a blue moon as the rest of the ninja train with Gin shooting various amounts of element based attacks at a large boulder. Hinata looks over to see Naruto alone and slowly begins to walk over to him.
“You… you should train with us Sakura says.”
“Why are you worrying about it Hinata? I am of no use to any of you without my cosmic energy.” Naruto says.
“But… hm…” Hinata says lowering her head.
“It’s okay Naruto. I’ve given you most of the tailed beast chakra so until you’re ready to gain your cosmic energy just train with that for now. Not all of us heroes got the hang of things on the first try. Sometimes it takes a little waiting. Clear your mind and try again.” Peter says.
“I want to train with my cosmic inside of me as well. Hell what am I even complaining for? The things people saw are the real problem here.”
“They were just allusions Naruto. Don’t suspect any of it was true. Not even what I saw…”
“What did you see?” Naruto asks.
“Something I’d like to keep to myself. As should all of you. It’s your own experience and it shouldn’t be conversed about among others. It’s too much of a toll on you if you linger on it.”
“To me it seems as if it’d ease things. But if you say so Spidey.”
“What do you suspect could be stopping Naruto from gaining his cosmic energy?” Hinata asks.
“Well it could be that he just can’t use the cosmic lightning that Gin provided him with. Or he just needs to concentrate on what he wants to achieve and go for it again. I don’t know to be honest Hinata. I did it on my first try as did everyone else here.”
“Except for me…” Naruto says running to Gin who turns to him smiling.
“What can I help you with my boy?”
“I need you to take me back. This time… just me and you.” Naruto says giving a stern look.
“So be it.” Gin says as the two hop onto the silver disc and fly into space.
Gin sits on the floor crosses his legs, closes his eyes and begins to meditate. Naruto looks up at the stars beginning his meditation as well.
“Naruto I don’t understand why this is so important to do. You have all of us at almost full strength now. How strong can Sasuke be getting!?” Son asks.
“Stronger than the 9 of you 9 times over. That’s why we must get even stronger using their methods fused with ours. This is no longer the fight of ninja.”
“It’s the Cosmic Hurricane Ninja Chronicles!” Shukaku says.
“Don’t believe we need a name for this war. It’s a damn shame we’re even having it. To think Sasuke would go as low as to fight with a damn alien.” Kurama says.
“Shouldn’t we be focusing more on how we are going to get this cosmic energy? We can’t fail at this again.” Matatabi says.
“It’s an easy test I mean c’mon. All we have to do is find that lightning energy he gave us and channel it through Naruto.” Gyuki says.
“More easily said than done being that none of us even felt the cosmic energy.” Son says.
“I… I think I found it…” Chomei says as lightning begins to flicker around its tails.
“My God… Such power.” Matatabi says as Chomei passes the lightning off to Naruto who levitates into the air.
“You’ve done it.” Gin says as Naruto is surrounded by purple lightning. They land onto the asteroid and both walk into the cave to find Galactus’ heart pounding faster than ever before.
“There must be something special about you Naruto. His heart has never been so alive during his slumber.”
Naruto holds out his hand concentrating the lightning into a rod. Naruto throws the rod and it attached to Galactus sending a lightning blast at Naruto that begins giving him an exceptional amount of cosmic energy.
“You… you’re consuming more than your friends did all together. What… how?”
Naruto falls to the ground and his body emits a purple smoke around him. As he slowly stands small rocks levitate around him. He enters chakra mode but his shines pure golden flames, as purple lightning flickers around his body.
“I am Naruto Uzumaki and I will restore peace to both our worlds!”
Earth
“Logan I got something on Mystique.” Charles says opening his eyes and rolling over to him.
“What’d you find? Don’t tell me she’s kidnapping another mutant.” Logan says.
“No… actually she’s letting one go.”
The Blackbird hovers above central park cloaked as Charles looks down to find Destiny sitting at a park bench.
“You think this is just a trap?” Logan asks.
“Could be. But if he wanted to kill us he would have done it already. He has a bigger motive.” Charles says as the two step on a platform that levitates them both to the ground.
“Hello Miss Brown it’s nice to see you on. Different circumstances.” Charles says hovering over to the bench where Destiny sits holding a coffee mug.
“They are the same circumstances professor. I am only here to have a talk with you.” She says grinning as she sips coffee from her Starbucks mug.
“I don’t think you want to talk to us about returning home. They’ve got you on their side don’t they?”
“They do. I am here to ask you to give in while there is still time. I… saw things happen and all I want is to prevent certain events form unfolding.”
“What events!?” Logan asks.
“You really think I can tell you? Without them killing us all right here?” Charles looks over at Logan who grits his teeth in stress.
“We both know we can’t let Doom continue on with his plans. Him or anyone else you are working with.”
“Kingpin, Mystique, Bullseye and Apocalypse. They are who I am working with.”
“And they don’t care that you just shared with us that information?” Logan asks.
“No they asked for me to tell you and to also tell you that every mutant that does not comply with or fights against Apocalypse will fall.”
“You must be joking. This must be a god… You really think I will let you get away with this!!!” Logan yells beginning to step towards Destiny who jumps from the bench. Charles freezes Logan and looks back at Destiny who is shaking.
“I know you are in over your head. You even look as if you aren’t even sure. Come with us. We will protect you.” Charles says.
“He will… Just don’t fight back professor. Just don’t fight back.” Destiny whispers beginning to walk away.
Charles unfreezes Logan whose claws shoot from his fist in anger.
“Son of a… Listen here Charles. You don’t understand how much of a mistake you’ve caused. You could have shut her down and we could have captured her!”
“They would have killed us…”
“She was bluffing!”
“Logan… something’s coming…” Charles says then holding on to his earpiece.
“Stark let loose the task force and send the Avengers X out immediately. 20 missiles are coming for us as we speak.”
“Already on it! They aren’t missiles… They’re flaming boulders it seems like!” Tony says shooting all 20 boulders.
“Did you do it…?” Charles asks. Tony stares at the smoke as his visor pics up the boulders still blazing towards him. Tony maneuvers over one but is caught off guard by the other as they continue to fall towards Manhattan.
“What kind of material is this!?” Rhodey asks swooping in and grabbing Tony as they both hurdle onto a tower top.
“I don’t know but where the hell are the rest of the Avengers! Someone needs to stop these things!” Tony yells.
“On it…” Nova says charging up his elemental pistol that destroys one of the boulders.
“Don’t fight against my vengeance!” a voice screams as Nova shoots another blast at the next boulder but it is blocked by a fast moving object. It dashes to Nova slashing his legs making him fall into a tower.
“Nova couldn’t even stop them… Oh God…” Ms. Marvel says as the boulders hit the ground exploding into pieces.
“What did she tell you Charles?” Apocalypse asks kneeling down to look at Charles whose legs are on fire.
“You… you will destroy us all if you let Doom have his way. Why even fight beside him. You could destroy him.” Charles whispers.
“I’m afraid you underestimate that man. He is far more powerful than he’s ever been before. And it seems he’s going to create something even more powerful. I just want to rule the mutants. Doom can have this ungrateful planet.”
“They won’t follow you. They would never follow you…”
“I’m afraid they have no choice.” Apocalypse says disappearing into the smoke. Logan appears soon after fanning the fire off of Charles and taking him to the Blackbirds platform that shoots into the sky attaching the jet.
“Don’t want to say this but. I told ya so Charles. This is going to be the end of us if we don’t take the offensive.” Logan says.
“I… I’m sorry…” Charles says as tears begin running from his eyes.
“Its okay professor just stay with me. We’ll get you patched up okay… we won’t let them rule over us. We won’t let them rule over a damn thing.”
“Logan come in! Do you have Charles location!?” Tony asks, the PA system blaring.
“Yes I have hm in the Blackbird he is badly injured I’m gonna send him back to the Mansion.” Logan says.
“Logan… just promise me you won’t kill her. She is innocent.” Charles says
“I… I know she is.” Logan says jumping from the Blackbird onto the ground below begging to help civilians from debris along with many other avengers who all look around at the battlefield of Manhattan yet again.
Negative Zone
“This will be a replacement to what you have known before. Cosmic energy. No two of you shall know it the same. Each one of you will wield it with pride. This power was known to shake the galaxy. Revive the dead. You will wield it no other way.” Gin says as each of the ninja conjure up lightning into a ball in front of them. Sakura begins shaking as her lightning flicker begins to exhaust.
“Focus Sakura. Do not let what your mind has shown you stop you from becoming something far greater than you could have ever imagined.”
“I can’t… I can’t do this!” She yells.
“This is your destiny! You’ve got to try!” Gin says in a thick whisper that makes Sakura emit a large portion of lightning that makes the ball explode.
“You’re pushing her too hard Gin. She isn’t ready for this.” Tsunade says.
“She isn’t ready? We’ve been here for days chatting about and learning the novice material such as creating a ball. If she isn’t ready for this she will not be ready at all my dear Hokage.”
“Alright guys that’s enough for today. Seems like the portal just received a message.” Peter says taking out his avengers cell.
“There’s been an attack. Tony says that it was an attempt to get us to surrender. They’ve got it under control at the moment, but he says we need to hurry.”
“Spider-Man I never got one of those phones.” Deadpool says.
“What are we still doing here then!? Gin let’s get out of here immediately. The rest of our cosmic energy can wait. We need to protect their earth.” Tobirama says.
“There you go thinking that everything you say is of sheer truth. You keep listening to your gut but you need to be thinking with your mind and heart. We will continue to train. The after effects will kill you if you tried to fight this early on.” Gin says.
“I’m getting sick and tired of training. I am a Kage level shinobi with plenty of War experience. If we continue on with this…”
“Enough!” Hashirama yells cracking the blue ground beneath them.
“We all will stay here and continue to listen to Gins orders. Anything else can get us killed and if we are gone so is everyone else on Earth and on the ninja world. The casualties will be remembered by the next generation. We will make sure of it.”
“Guessing you gotta be an active avenger for about a month or two to get those phones.” Deadpool says.
“I got mine way after a month DP. You’ll have to wait in line hah.” Peter says.
“Eh I’ll just have a talk with Tony about it maybe we can settle something.”
“Are we seriously talking about this right now?” Gin asks.
“Oh sorry heh heh.”
“Now for tomorrow we will try to use the cosmic energy to increase our speed. We will be traveling from this moon to the red on over there.”
“Kill him.” Doom says as Sasuke crushes Jugos skull with his hand.
“Why… why would you…” Karin begins to tear up as she falls to her knees watching Jogo’s blood travel to her.
“This was the last step of your mentality training. If you killed him you will kill Naruto easily. You shall not hesitate. You shall not quiver.”
“Yes Lord. What is after this Lord Doom?” Sasuke asks.
“We travel to a planet and pay our respects. By killing them all of course. There we will plant a seed and that seed will grow into a large tree that stretches to the moons. My son. You will know the way of terror.”
“Sasuke you… you can’t be still going along with this.” Karin says.
“I am. If you want to leave I will let you but if you stay. You will be following the reign of terror.” Sasuke says.
“This isn’t the way of the ninja…” Karin says.
“No. This is the way of Doom.”
