Chapter 5 – A Head Full of Dreams
“And let the power cosmic shift through your bones as your muscular extends and as your youth.” Gin says as each of the ninja move their arms in a circular motion following with a forward palm thrust into the air.
“Power Cosmic haha sounds like a stoner band.” Deadpool says. Gin gives him a stern look and Deadpool zips his mouth then throwing away the key.
“So this power cosmic must be the chakra of your universe.” Hiruzen says.
“Not exactly. It’s the name of the energy type of great celestial begins such as Galactus.”
“This is preposterous! I have went through chakra consumption during my time training at the academy I will not continue this any longer!” Tobirama says. Hashirama begins to speak but Gin holds up his hand then walking up to Tobirama face to face.
“So you think you are ready for this?”
“Yes I know for a fact I am.”
“Don’t listen to him he’s obviously gone mad. We need this training.” Tsunade says.
“No. I’m afraid he’s spoken for you all on this one. You all seem to be tired of obeying my physical and mental training orders and are ready to continue. Are you not?”
Everyone is silent as Gin throws his surfboard onto the ground and it shifts itself into a large round circle.
“It is time. We will be heading to the asteroid.” Gin says and the ninja walk onto the silver disk that emits a large orb of glass that shuts them in. They take off into the sea of darkness looking around at the Negative Zones beauty.
“So Naruto how are you holding up? Enjoying your time on Earth?” Gin asks Naruto, who looks out at the stars smiling.
“I’m doing as well as you would expect. Earths pretty fun actually. Haven’t been able to enjoy it much being that there are so many small avenger stuff I wanna do but as soon as we get this War over with I’m gonna do as much as possible to remember this time here.”
“Ah that’s good to hear. I just don’t want you depressed or anything. It could really eat you up inside during your training and hold you back. We don’t need that at all.”
“I’ll stay as focused as possible Sensei.”
“Hah, no need for the sensei. I am simply a friend helping a friend.”
“Nah you’re totally our sensei! You’re helping us unlock all sorts of new found powers and teaching us the ways of the cosmic. It’s the same as when Kakashi taught me Sakura and Sasuke how to work together as a team.” Naruto then pauses to look at a crying Sakura.
“Well, if it will make your training feel more unique then I wouldn’t mind.”
“To be honest I just want to blow through this as fast as possible silver skinned guy. Sasuke needs to be stopped.”
“Doom too.”
“Yea him as well heh heh.” Gin then gives him a concerning look as Naruto attempts to laugh off the tension.
“You can’t let the evil consume your mind as well Naruto. He wants you to kill him. He wants you to feel the harsh realization.”
“Harsh realization you say?”
“Yes. By killing that man the only thing you will bring is pain into yourself. That pain will grow and fester into something not even you will be able to fight off. It’s happen to the strongest of heroes. Don’t think it can’t happen to you as well.”
“There’s no other choice. We have to die together then.”
“You know damn well Peter won’t let that happen Naruto Uzumaki. He will die before you are able to.”
“It isn’t up to him. This is between me and Sasuke.”
“Look Naruto. That man is going to kill every single thing that tries to get in the way of Doom. That includes your friends. Stop acting as if this is a small score you must settle. This is life or death. People will die if you all don’t get as strong as possible.”
“What are you trying to say exactly? That I must capture him the way Peter has captured Thanos!? Sasuke isn’t as much of a monster as he is.”
“As much as. A monster is a monster my boy. Only other option is through harsh realization.”
“The hell is this harsh realization dammit?” Gin sighs then walking close to Naruto putting his hand on his shoulder, beginning to whisper into his ear.
“It is to show him how far he has fallen. Talk to him in the harshest of ways possible. Make his mind crumble under the weight of your words. For that is the true strongest energy.”
“Well can’t you just tell me what to say?”
“No son. For this is between you and Sasuke.” Gin says smiling as Naruto is left speechless pondering on what words could sway a darkened heart.
The silver disc touches the ground of the asteroid, the large glass opens up and the ninja walk onto the asteroid that glimmers purple.
“Well about damn time. Let’s gain this power and return to defeat that ignor….” Tobirama suddenly falls to his knees as if the weight of million tons was set upon his back.
“Brother! What’s wrong! Speak to me!” Hashirama says running to his brother’s aide.
“He probably ate too much Taco Bell.” Deadpool says.
“No… my mind it’s… how?” Tobirama asks.
“This is distortion of your mind. You have entered the Distortion Zone and each and every one of you must face the horror or the beauty of it. You will feel pain… you will want to die… but you must pull through to continue on.”
Sakura
“Here you are again messing things up for our family. You keep spoiling her and she won’t learn the way of the ninja! She’ll be as useless as you are.” Sasuke says cutting Sakura’s arm.
“I…. I don’t know what you’re talking about?” Sakura says holding on to her arm as Sasuke begins to create Susanno bones around him.
“Our daughter Sarada. Your foolishness will lead to her becoming a complete failure! She must be the successor to the Uchiha! The Queen over all these low class ninja!”
“What? You can’t be serious! I would never do anything to make you angry just… just wait!”
“Do you even hear yourself Sakura? Wanting to calm him down after what he’s done? He needs to be stopped!” Tsunade says launching in front of Sasuke and pulling her from the grown. Sakura then looks over Tsunade’s shoulder to find Sasuke gone.
“Where’d he go?”
“Jeez even now you are asking where the hell he is. Is it that hard for you to let it go? Do I need to sing the theme song to that cursed movie we watched so long ago?”
“So long ago? What are you talking about?”
“It doesn’t matter. You need to realize what the hell you need to do Sakura. This isn’t about your love life.”
“This is about life or death!” A dark haired girl with sharingan eyes grabs Sakura by her throat and slams her down putting her knees down on her chest.
“You disgust me mother. You care for Sasuke so much. It’s going to lead to me getting killed. I know it.”
“I… I’d never do anything to hurt my daughter. If I had a daughter. I’d do anything for her.”
“But you’d do even more for Sasuke.”
Hashirama
“It’s a shame we couldn’t be the brothers that united the ninja world. Instead you decided to shun the Uchiha and push me away as if I was nothing but an assistant or tailor to your future plans.” Madara says lying next to Hashirama who is missing his right arm.
“You wanted this Madara! You pushed this into what it’s become! This could have ended long ago!” Hashirama says looking over to see Madara missing his right arm.
“This isn’t us Hashirama. This is the future generation talking to you. It’s just a warning from the Gods telling us to save the future. That’s why we aren’t gone.”
“What are you talking about you fool? Our village is the future Madara. Come back to it and quit trying to burn down all that we’ve built.”
“You know damn well we can’t do that. We have to keep the legacy going. But I’m afraid the next time. It will come to a close.”
“What legacy? The hell are you talking about Madara just give up your acts of hatred!”
“The legacy that has been stretching for quite some time. It’s about to be a time of peace. You know that right?”
“A time of peace could have been now. But instead you wanted to start your little battles and try to claim what was yours to begin with. Why must you control it all?”
“Because it’s all not worth controlling.”
Shikamaru
“Dammit this is just a complete waste of time. Every single attempt to try and revive him is useless.” Tony says.
“What do you mean? What’s going on?” Shikamaru asks.
“He’s dead that’s what’s going on. No more ideas I can think of to get you all home. We failed you Shikamaru.” Reed says.
“This can’t be… we have to return… our planets needs its leaders!” Shikamaru says.
“I know but you must come to learn to like it here. I know that may seem harsh but this is what you must accept.” Fury says.
“You people must not know what it’s like… to be trapped somewhere you know you don’t belong… this is not where our heart lies. Our heart lies with our real home!”
“That may be true Shikamaru but what are you to do… nothing. You aren’t smart enough to fix this problem.” Tony says smiling.
“You think this is funny!? It’s always a damn joke with you but I bet you wouldn’t last a second without that suit.”
“I am the suit. Maybe you aren’t as smart as I had thought.”
“I am smart enough! I will find us a way back even if it costs my sanity.”
“Good luck becoming a genius on dimensional travel overnight. You think this is just a science test don’t you? This is real actual advanced technology that you will never come to understand.” Reed says.
“You’ve mistaken my ninja way.”
“No I’ve just grown to realize none of your sciences are up to par with our kindergarten work.” Tony says. Shikamaru launches at Tony but Reed stretches his arms around him catching him midair.
“You and your jokes. I bet I could rule over this entire team better than you ever could. All you do is sugar coat the pain everyone is facing. Is it for the press? Or is it for your own sake?”
“Now you’re trying to make this about me? Nice try I’m not very interested in anyone else’s input on how I run things.” Shikamaru grits his teeth as his shadow clone disappears and he leaps from the shadows punching Tony in the jaw sending him flying into the ground.
“You’ll never know the pain of being a ninja!”
Kakashi
“Welcome Kakashi. Didn’t think I’d see you here for another 40 years or so!” Obito says looking at a ghost like young Kakashi who looks down at his hands in shock.
“I… I died?” Kakashi asks as Rin walks up to him grabbing his hand.
“Yea but you’re here with us now. A few more of your friends made it here as well. Come with us and you’ll get to see them!” Rin says smiling.
“But how did I die… I was so determined to protect everyone else but I… I don’t even remember how it all happened.”
“Think Kakashi. What’s the last thing you were doing before it all went black?” Obito asks.
“Quit it Obito! We don’t want him breaking into a meltdown! This is a lot to process…”
“I… I was in front of Naruto when… I was hit with something… I don’t know I don’t understand it. I just want to go back I’m not done serving the ninja world yet.”
“You have nothing else to provide them Kakashi. It’s time for you to rest. You deserve it.” Obito says.
“You’re not understanding Obito. The ninja world isn’t ready to be left alone yet. No one is there to protect it! The leaders are all far far away!”
“And what could you have done to prevent it that you weren’t able to do before?” Rin asks. Kakashi pauses then staring blankly at the white ground beneath him.
“I don’t know… I just… I need to another chance.”
“You don’t get another Kakashi. You only get one life and you’ve lived it. It’s time to go see the others now.”
“The others?”
“Yes… and …. And a few others are already here.” Obito says.
“I didn’t catch those names Obito. Obito?” Kakashi says as Obito and Rin slowly fade away.
Gaara
“Look at him. So weak without me his second hand!” A deep voice says. Gaara lays on the ground as two yellow eyes look down at him from the shadows.
“I… I can’t move…” Gaara says.
“I know you can’t you imbecilic dumbass. You need to listen more next time. It’s like you don’t even care for the life of Sasuke anymore.” The deep voice says.
“I don’t. He is a traitor to the entire ninja world and to the super hero world as well. He’s done nothing but cause death and pain.”
“If you think that was pain you’re in for a surprise young Kazekage.”
“I recognize your voice yet I have no idea who you are…”
“You really are out of it aren’t you. Guess this really is the end of our time. The ninja are going to fall indeed.”
“What do you mean the inja are going to fall!? We’ve made it through worse than this I assure you.”
“That’s the thing Gaara. You think it’s bad now, just wait until you see what else is in store for you all. The madness will make your soul quiver.”
“You’re only trying to frighten me. It won’t be that easy to do so.”
“Heh I’m not trying to frighten you Gaara I need only to tell you of what you did wrong.”
“Well in the end it won’t matter will it?” Gaara says, leaving a long pause between the two.
“If you truly believe you can become something better and achieve a different outcome. Yes. It will matter young Kazekage.”
“Are you just telling me this to give me hope, or is this what you really think of the matter.”
“More so the later. But yes I do believe there may be a slight chance for us all to make it home. Heh that’ll be the day. The day you all found out not even home is safe anymore.”
“What the hell are you talking about now Shukaku?”
“Nothing that can be fixed.”
Naruto
“You’ll never be hokage.” Minato says pushing his sons shoulder.
“Wait… what do you mean? you… you’re the one who inspired me.” Naruto says beginning to tear up.
“How could you be anything so important? You take the title as a joke you would never make a great leader such as the third.”
Naruto smiles and puts his hand on his father’s shoulder. Minato looks to him in surprise as Naruto gives him a thumbs up.
“Guess I’ll just have to prove you wrong. Right Dad?”
Minato turns to smoke and blows away and Naruto turns to find a man with long white hair stretching to his waist looking out at a sunset.
“This world is a beautiful one indeed. The woman are nice and the food is so damn good. I’d rather stay here than go back to that war zone of a world.”
Naruto slowly walks over to the man looking down to see his red sandals that clack against the ground as he turns and smiles.
“Don’t you feel the same Naruto?”
“Pervy Sage…” Naruto says standing in awe.
“Yes its not your time yet but this battle sure did take it out of you didn’t it heh”
“What battle?”
“Ah I see. You can’t remember. Or is it that you haven’t lived to fight it yet.”
“I don’t understand Pervy Sage. My dad said that I’d never be Hokage. How could he think that of me?”
“Now you really believe your father thinks that of you!? You gotta be kidding me kid.”
“Doesn’t seem like a possibility at this point. We’re stuck here for who knows how long.”
“Do you realize the amount of research that can be had here? There is material that I’ve never seen in my entire life.”
“I understand that Pervy Sage. It’d just be nice to settle the battle in the way of the ninja ya know.”
“I have a feeling we’re both talking of different research. But I do think there is knowledge to be learned here. Even for a ninja”
Jiraiya jumps from the balcony onto the street below and Naruto follows as they both make their way to a small park.
“It’s not a walk in the park Naruto. I’m sure Sasuke knows the same.”
“It’s as if he doesn’t know what he’s destroying. People he has shared a large time of his life with.”
“He doesn’t care anymore Naruto. He is willing to destroy that to claim what he wants for the future.”
“All his future is, is more death.” Naruto says as Jiraiya stops walking and looks down at his feet in a cold blank stare.”
“You can’t die Naruto. Sasuke must be the one to perish.”
“What!? You can’t be serious Pervy Sage!”
“You will learn boy.” Jiraiya says as he fades away and the ground beneath Naruto bursts open and a giant ant man flies into the sky. War begins to break out around Naruto as a tank drives by him blasting a shot into Ant Mans side, making him collapse onto the ground. The tank begins to aim its head toward Naruto but wasp kicks it into the air as jets spray bullets from the air hitting her in the back.
“No! Naruto! Save us!” Sakura screams.
“Sakura where are you! Sakuraaa!” Naruto yells as a bolt of lightning hits the ground in front of him.
“What did I tell you Naruto? In the end you are the one dead and I laugh as your corpse is engulfed in my Amaterasu flames. Your vision is weak. Your strength even weaker. How could you even think to stand a chance? I am almighty. I am Uchiha.”
Naruto wakes in a cold sweat grabbing his chest as Peter helps him to his feet.
“Gin you knew they would go through this trauma! Why would you lead them here now!?” Peter yells.
“They needed to experience this at their weakest. As you did. And as many did before you.” Gin says smiling.
“That was hell… You silver bastard!” Tobirama says dashing toward Gin who knocks him back with a blast of air.
“Don’t anger your savior.”
“So… you guys get Bill Cosbied or?...” Deadpool asks chuckling.
“No they were simply in distortion… Sakura seems to be in chronic shock from the experience.” Gin says looking over at Sakura who is on the ground in a ball, shaking.
“You really expect us to trust you after what you’ve just put us through?” Tsunade says slowly standing to her feet.
“If I wanted to kill you you’d be dead. Also what other choice do you have? Can’t believe you would say such a thing after what I have been through with Peter.” Gin says grabbing his surfboard and tapping it on the ground transporting them all to the other side of the asteroid where a large cave lies.
“Each of us will enter the cage. There you will all gain your cosmic powers. It is there you will begin the new era of ninja.”
“They won’t be getting a large amount on the first go around now will they?” Peter asks.
“Of course not. Their bodies would collapse at the sheer weight of the power.”
“The things I saw in the dreams they… they can’t be real right?” Sakura whispers. Gin slowly walks to her putting his hand on her head giving her a stern look.
“Only time will tell.”
All right first off apologize for the wait XD I have been working overtime and it kills my mind so I don't wanna rush anything this time around. It just leads to a mess I have to clean up my narrative. This Book is lasting for quite some time this time around so I want it to deserve its longevity! Thanks for reading!
