Loves... this is that positive chakra for you. This is the Naruto Uzumaki of albums b. Like yo I don't know what to say it's like Chance went from Nine Tails Chakra Cloak (Acid Rap) to his Nine Tails Chakra Mode (Coloring Book). He done stepped it up loves. Now if you haven't heard Acid Rap I suggest you give that a listen before this one just to see the growth in sound and it's a solid project so you will enjoy that one no doubt. If you all don't know about Chance The Rapper he was born and raised from the Chi, so you know he was a real West fan, and a prodigy in the making. I mean from his sound to his style, he has been declared the second coming of the artist. And the crazy thing is he's been doing this rap thing with Mixtapes. Even though these have been mixtapes, it's as if you can't even tell the difference between if it's a commercial released album or not. So without further ado, Coloring Book Review.
1. All We Got (featuring Kanye West & Chicago Children's Choir) - Fam... This is a God dream. Man...

IT JUST GOT LIT!!!!! The production on this track is so beautiful, you will have eargasms in the first 30 seconds. You got Chance spitting like he just died and came back to life again. Preachin to the masses loves.
This ain't no intro, this the entree
Hit that intro with Kanye and sound like André
Tryna turn my baby mama to my fiancée
She like music, she from Houston like Auntie Yoncé
Man my daughter couldn't have a better mother
If she ever find another, he better love her
Man I swear my life is perfect, I could merch it
If I die I'll prolly cry at my own service, igh, igh!
Lord have mercy this track LOL The trumpets and sax in the background is just tuned right. The Choir singing it's melody in the background is the best thing I have heard since Big Krit's last release. Kanye West does a great job on the Hook as well with the great auto tune from MBDTF it feels like. And then that outro hit's with those damn synthesizers. This song is amazing. A track straight from the Church in the heavens.
2. No Problem (featuring Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz) - Now looking at the features... any sane person would be VERY worried for this track. But damn do Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz deliver. I can't deny it. And the Church music vibe carries over from the first track with a choir singing threaded into the instrumental. It's just another goosebumping track man. And it's damn astounding. Chance kicks off the song with another damn bangin verse tellin all the labels to f off or there will be Problems. HE AINT GON SAY IT NO MO!!!!!

3. Summer Friends (featuring Jeremih & Francis and the Lights) - Surprised Jeremih is still finding work these days LOL

Ok I'll chill waifu LMFAO This is another damn goosebumpin track. As soon as we get started there is a melodic auto tun transe to get you ready for this soulful Chance humming. Then he starts spittin again and you already know... It's some more of that fire. He spit's about his past life as a kid with his family in the summer. Basically this song is centered around summer loves. And deaths. He raps about how you are most likely to not have a friend by the time the summer is over. Because as you know the violence in Chi will most likely get them killed. It's a pretty deep perspective. And I really respect this and Jeremih does a great job on the outro. It's a dope track.
4. D.R.A.M. Sings Special - An Interlude track. A very nice melodic singing track with a very trippy instrumental. It's pretty decent and flows over to the next track very well.
5. Blessings - Okay I can tell. This is what The Life Of Pablo should have been LOL This Soulful singing by Jamila Woods got me like

I'm gon' praise Him, praise Him 'til I'm gone
I'm gon' praise Him, praise Him 'til I'm gone
When the praises go up, the blessings come down
When the praises go up, the blessings come down
It seems like blessings keep falling in my lap
It seems like blessings keep falling in my lap
Man... then Chance comes in with a killer verse to hit yo soul.
I don't make songs for free, I make 'em for freedom
Don't believe in kings, believe in the Kingdom
Then the instrumental is a bumpin sensation with "GOOD GOD!" being screamed every now and then Lol. Song is a Gospel masterpiece.
6. Same Drugs - WE DONT DO THE! WE DONT DO THE! WE DONT DO THE! WE DONT DO THE! WE DONT DO THE! WE DONT DO THE! WE DONT DO THE! WE DONT DO THE! LOL Man this is so damn Soulful!

This instrumental is a violining masterpiece. Choir whoooing in the background. The pianos on this track are just awesome. Pure awesometacularness. This track is about Chance not using drugs anymore after the birth of is daughter back in 2015. Really proud of this track and of his tolerance as I know the fame can get to your head and cause you to spiral out of control. The outro to this track is amazing as well. This is a God dream.

I ain't goin' to hell or to Hillman
Igh, Igh, Igh, Igh, for my real fans
This tape... he is spittin some real shit on this b. Like if you haven't heard this album what the hell are you doin man LOL. Can't wait to have this in FLAC format at some point in the future *cringes* (Can't even say that word anymore...) The instrumental is a jazzy soulful production by SoX and Lido. It's a very straight forward fire track about bringing angels alive and about how he's got angels surrounding around him. It's dope.

11. How Great (featuring Jay Electronica & My Cousin Nicole) - Praise God. For he is almighty. I need to say a prayer before I review this track
I will lift up my eyes to the hills
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The LORD shall preserve your going out
Man... this track is going to be written in the books. This might be one of my favorite rap tracks in all of my life of listening to rap music fams. Like this is just magnificent. Now the song starts off with some incredible vocals by Chance's cousin Nicole.
How great is our God
Sing with me, how great is our God
All will see how great is our God
How great is our God
Sing with me, how great is our God
All will see, how great, how great, is our God
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
And my heart will sing how great is our God
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
And my heart will sing how great is our God
Then Chance comes and spits some damn FIRE
The book don't end with Malachi
Devil will win employee of the month by the dozen
'Til one score and three years from the third when he doesn't
My village raised 'em a child, come through the crib and it's bustin'
You meet anyone from my city, they gon' say that we cousins
And after all of this amazing song production we have Jay Electronica the GAWD to end it off with an amazing biblical scripture to KILL IT!!!!!
They poisoned the scripture and gave us the pictures of false messiahs
It was all a lie
Mystery babylon, tumbling down
Satan's establishment crumbling down
This is the year that I come for the crown
Bury my enemies under the ground

LISTEN TO THIS TRACK NOW!!!!!!!!!
Shit is the best joint on here hands down and is a monumental statement in this art. The Art Of Rap.
12. Smoke Break (featuring Future) - This was about to be another SKIPPED LOL track for me but nah I listened to it because it started off pretty dope with Chance spittin some fire off the top. He's rapping about his ex girl I believe. It's some pretty personal heart hitting bars that line up PERFECTLY with the instrumental here. He thinks they just need to slow down and take a Smoke Break you feel me my brovas. Then Future come in... with a verse... his auto tune isn't completely annoying here and I can actually understand most of what he is saying so I wasn't bothered by his presence here. Not very much needed IMO. But nonetheless an amazing track as well.
13. Finish Line / Drown (featuring T-Pain, Kirk Franklin, Eryn Allen Kane & Noname) - T-Pain? Who?
You must be registered for see images
Nah but in all seriousness this is another Soulful hit and it is AMAZING. The Finish Line Part is a very fast paced song with the ladies whoooing in the background. Jesus Chance are you ever going to make something this damn well again because DAMN this is a lot to live up to LOL Now the first verse is Chance is rapping about how God has helped him succeed. And when we get to Part 2 of the track Drown, we have rapper Noname rapping about how God has helped her when she was down and out. And then for the ending we have Kirk Franklin about to spit the hottest verse in all of rap!!!! LOL Nah I'm joking but he does a nice little outro with his choir in the background once again SAVAGE on the beat. This is an amazing track, once again Chance does well here.
14. Blessings (Reprise) - Now this track starts off and you already know. After Chance does his adlibs. The beat switches to the most melodic trance since Big Krits It's Better This Way Outro. Man what in the heavens.... this man...
You must be registered for see images
He has killed the game b. This first verse is damn stellar. Straight spittin FIRE. And he's just rapping about how far he's come too. It's an amazing outro and the vocals at the end are about to blow out my ear drums so wait a sec while I take out my earbuds LOL
Ok now to end this off... I just want to say that this is the new Kanye West LOL The other guy turned into a Kardashian so he is no longer a part of this universe apparently. Chance has created his own genre with this album and I'm so glad that he was able to put together this beautiful piece of work. Though he doesn't even have a label he is signed by, which by now is the most craziest thing I have ever heard. I mean this man has Big Krit levels of talent yet he is just freeballin it. Guess it's his own choice though so I won't complain. Especially if he keeps bringing us jewels like this. Uncharted released on the same day this released too!? SMH May has been savage hit after savage hit.
