Making analysis or theories of individual jutsus/characters is fine..
even proposing possibilities of how certain characters may be defeated by other characters is fine...
but putting two or more characters tgr in an attempt to argue who would have a more probable victory over one another can hardly be convincing to me.
Usually, the following are put foward as support/opposition in discussions of the latest category:
1.Direct fight results between the involved characters that actually happened
2.manga feats as evidence
3.speculation based on characters established stats./bios.
But,as noted by some other members, they might be invalid due to the following reason-
Plot no jutsu:
In fights shown in manga, never do we hv absolute certainty whether a character loses because he/she is weakened or not(e.g. Pure plot; lack of kill intent;personality ;body conditions..etc) , as the writer may decide it however he likes for plot convenience.so naturally nor are these events powerful support for those arguments.
In the case of arguing whether certain characters have a higher chance of winning , these contingency are assumed to be eliminated, which might lead to considerable inaccuracies.
Plus, when such comparisons are to be made, wouldnt one would still have to describe, or at least assume a scenario or a process in which how the fight goes? And in this case, wouldnt one also be creating some kind of ‘plot’? It’s often hard to tell if the plot is even reasonable, unbiased or not..nor can we tell if it does justice to each character involved.
Furthermore, just how does one exactly compare the probabilities of characters defeating some other characters?
