in my first post i said taijutsu is enhaced by chakra...all i was saying was that person who posted was right...
no he wasnt, he was trying to correct a flaw which didnt exist - neither of you actually read the thread did you..
This thread is gold by the way. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you. I've seen you around the general section, and your comments are quite enjoyable and intelligent as well. Your praise is well recieved :)

yes i did read it, and he was correct in saying taijutsu started from 2 people punching and kicking each other, its that simple, now taijutsu evolved how u explained it...#WhatsUnderstoodShouldntHaveToBeExplained

Great read :)

OT: Taijutsu never had any background info in this story so it's safe to assume that it is a general combat technique enhanced by body power. As you said i also believe that it must have existed before Kaguya and people must have fought each other by using this form of battle. In a Naruto movie( dont know whether it's filler or canon though) some guy had super body structure and he said he will be able to use all 8 gates of taijutsu and survive, based on this fact we can say that taijutsu requires a great body(which gai lacks) not just a heavily trained body

Unfortunately I have not seen that movie, but based on what you say its safe to say my theory is correct :) anyway Thanks for sharing

The normal human body cannot handle the strain put on by opening the 8 gates, but like I said perhaps One with the body of the sage could survive it.

Movie: n a r u t o g e t.com--->Movies--->Naruto Shippuden Movies Subbed--->Naruto Shippuden Movie 2 English Subbed(bonds)
OT: It need not be sage's body in particular, it could be any body which has more durability and can withstand the after effects of 8th gate. . i'm saying this because i believe ninjutsu is > Taijutsu, for a kage level ninja facing 8th gate is surely a big issue but for rikudou it wouldn't be so hard.

Looks really logical.

One could even know that opening all 8 gates result in death, without the need for experience of having used all 8 gates or the need to have seen someone use all 8 gates, because one would know how the technique works and that complete chakra drainage would mean death.
I like it. Nice theory.

Will be interesting to see Madara's reaction to Gai's gate useage.
Kisame said he had seen taijutsu users on the lvl of Gai a few times in his life.
Maybe we get some more info about who those were in the series as well.
Maybe it was Madara who showed it to Kisame (that would mean trouble for Gai).

Yes as I stated, a normal body could not handle the strain, but a strong one would :)

Thanks. Yes there were others in the past with the kind of skill gai has in taijutsu, perhaps Madara knew one of them.

Because of my fixation with Sakura, I was led to believe that kaguya was the originator of genjutsu and tai jutsu. Because it said the sage created ninjutsu.

A very nice explanation, Great Work. I can somewhat agree that the Sage and his mother most likely were the one's you gave birth to even moderns taijutsu which uses the user's chakra.

It would make sense that Kaguya would be the first gates user. I didn't think about this before, but now it seems kinda obvious. You'd obviously use new found power in a way familiar to you, in Kaguya's case, it would most likely be taijutsu and kenjutsu like you said. Now, to be honest, I don't think the gates gives power similar to the fruit. I think it's just a teachnique and nothing more. That aside, it is possible Kaguya had it.

If I were to guess the abilities Kaguya would be likely to use, it would be regen, chakra enhanced fists, advanced body flicker, the samuri's technique chakra focused through blades, and the gates since they're all physical in nature. However, considering her son was beyond what normal people could achieve (rinnegan and creation of all things) it's safe to assume each of these techniques would be at a whole new level compared to what we've seen.

Edit: A lot of people are saying that taijutus has nothing to do with chakra, but here's the thing, the gates are chakra restricters, so there's definitely taijutsu influenced by chakra.(although not all taijutsu is)

thats right, although I believe all taijutsu is somewhat enhanced by the amount of energy chakra provides - because chakra runs through the entire body/cells "including muscles" - so pre-chakra folks, muscle strength/stamina must have been quite weaker.

in the late chapters it was confirmed that the sage shared chakra with the people.

The 8 gates are probably some Senju techs. Since they deal with the body and so on.
