Normally, mafia games are randomized to prevent something like this from happening, scum hunting should normally be due to in-game actions and not events from previous games. That being said tho, quite a number of people have defined play styles and you can tell their faction from their play...

No, each person gets only one a role, a role might have multiple actions tho (depending on the set up) Normally, roles are randomly assigned, so the host wouldn't consider play style when assigning roles.
