As you can see in the image, Ashura had his avatar from his body power up and Indra had Susanoo but you have to know that Hagoromo gave his power to Ashura

Ashura had power from Hagoromo,Indra didnt and still they were equal and their bodies were destroyed

Same with Naruto - Indra never had rinnengan so it's clear that was Sasuke's power up

It's clear that he gave power to Ashura in the past just like he gave power to Sasuke and this is how he got Sharinengan

As Hagoromo said he gave power to Ashura in the past and they were still equal
