Kishi isn't good with love story plot especially in Naruto, I'm sure at the ending of the serial the question "will naru/hina or naru/saku be together?" is still remain and the answer is unknown.

Itachi said "Thank to him, i was able to obtain this eye", we could assume he admit that the died of shisui is awaken his mangekyou. but he dont answer such as direct "yes, I killed him and awaken mangekyou sharingan". Shisui could be murdered by someone other than Itachi.

i read manga but I dont find itachi said that he killed his own best friend, also he felt rage when he found out that shisui was death and he become the accused of murder. I think that the time when Itachi truly awakened his mangekyou. And the death of Shisui is an evil scheme by Danzo or Tobi...
