How does the level up system work with posts? I am now a genin but I do not know how many posts I need until I am chunin nor do I know the restrictions that come with the ranks. Please help :)

I just ranked up to a genin, but I have no idea what a good bio to start with is, and are there any limitations as to my rank for my bio? I'm not trying to copy off of anyone I'm just new to the base and aren't quite sure of how the bio system works yet xp Thanks :)
