No, they are not a bad influence nowadays. Maybe they were 10 years ago, when children were still playing with barbies and playmobil. Now, they are playing Grand Theft Auto and Prototype for entertainment, so reading Naruto or Death Note for example, won't be an additional bad influence factor.
