Well we've seen a few times where Naruto has lived. Sasuke has been living in the old Uchiha homes by himself. When Sasuke left the village and Oro I guess he's been camping out at random places.

I did a little digging and realized Itachi must have seen Tobi's face. When Sasuke 1st encountered Tobi. Itachi transferred his Ms powers to Sasuke to activate "Amaterasu when he saw him". A few things I thought was out of place. You see below that Sasuke is already looking right at Tobi...
