Well i was going through the chapter again and realized that Orochimaru got a powerup and powerdown at the same time. When oro got his hands back , he was kage level But then suddenly, He went into a weak zetsu's body... Which made him very weak. Zetsu are basically very low quality hashi...

well hashirama once possessed all the bijjus, and he is the origin of mokuton, so yeah if he can possess and tame all bijjus, i can see juubi falling weak against mokuton but mokuton alone is not enough to stop it.
