I do believe he was thinking the Water Gun technique as well. I think the Mist Village could use him cause they seem kinda weak IMO. Suigetsu is badass with Zabuza's blade but he wants to be able to use them all. I think either Samehada or that sew-and-stitch sword suits Suigetsu better.

Wasn't it stated before that the Kyuubi was effecting Naruto's chakra control? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this has something to do with it. Before fighting the Kyuubi, Naruto's limit was 5 min in SM. His SM prowess has increased after that and I think that's why.

FMA: Brotherhood was made 2nd but follows the original anime much more closely than FMA (the first one) did. The first FMA eventually deviates from the manga and starts doing it's own thing.
