Some cases, not so true. Take EMS as an example. Sasuke and Madara both didn't 'have' to take their brothers eyes... They made their own actions on getting them. An opposite to this, is Naruto having Kurama. Naruto couldn't help becoming the jinjuriki Not favoring either of them, just saying...
